算啦！如果係咁不如讀其他學校，可能仲有機會入添，其實我絕對唔會俾我小朋友咁冒險，幼稚園來說佢都唔係我杯茶！

talking about 競爭力, would like to share another case I know in HY kinder. The girl's mum didn't apply any DSS (as didn't want to give up the chance for lucky draw- they live in net 34), but applied for 4 private primary schools as back-up. This girl did not attend any interest class. Her mum was not a "早教媽媽", and didn't spend time to help her during her own revision of materials learnt in HY (v. busy mum).  turned out she got all the 4 private schools' offer (i couldn't remember the details. just recalled that one was TL).

You may think that getting 4 private school offers may not be anything special. but i know quite a no. of kids from SC and KV, having taken more than a year's interview class, having lots of "Certificates" of various kinds of competition, having lots of "Certificates" of Music/Art/English.... etc interest class.......... still got 2 or 1 or even 0 offer (some even applied for more than 10 DSS and private schools!).

The most amazing part is this girl is a 年尾細女.

我有兩個朋友仔, 兩個女都係上年協恩幼稚園畢業, 一個叩返入協恩小學, 另一個考到DGS。

haha... v. interesting guess.

I honestly think that HY kinder doesn't need to "do any promotion".

u can search my profile and easily find that my son is in LH PN and our target is Int'l school. If BK has function being able to trace back posts a bit eariler, u will also find that my husband is teaching in one of those "so-called elite and so-called famous" schools with over 100 years' history. [that's why I get lots of info of local school as many ppl asked me to ask my husband comments of school X, Y, Z..... and my church is v. big (that means w/ many ppl, studying in many different schools). I, myself, is just an "Ah 4" working in an office. (teachers r not so free to be able to "browse" BK so freq.)

In HK, it's "luckier" to ve a girl than a boy. u got much more choices and better chances.

I sincerely recommend u try the following:
1. through-train kinder linked w/ private school like SPK, GH, TL, SH (u don't need to worry like other parents in P.1 allocation as u still ve back-up);
2. if 1 is not possible, try those w/ subsided primary [at least u get better chance in "knocking the door stage"] but u ve to move to the school net of that subsided primary. (for Christian, HY  and St Stephen's Girls is a gd choice)

Hope u find a suitable kinder for your girl :)

這個資訊很重要, 除了St Stephen’s Girls已表態將會維持津貼及結龍外 (註: St Mary及天神嘉諾撒已與嘉諾撒聖瑪利書院結龍),其他直屬/聯繫的官津貼中小學 e.g. HY, 華仁, LS, Maryknott................甚至小學部是私立,中學部是津貼的PC, MS, TL. 都未表態何去何從. 所以現在看似很保險, 到時可能也是未知之數.
