It's not going to be "easy" anymore even for ESF kindergarten students unless your child belongs to Category I, which mean he doesn't speak/read/understand any Chinese. There seems to be more and more competition for places in international schools in recent years, most likely due to parents (including ourselves) losing faith in the local system.
Your best bet would be to put him into an international kindergarten so he can learn to speak English as fluently as possible. An ESF kindergarten should still give you a slight advantage over non-ESF ones, but at the end of the day I believe they will still assess the applicants based on whether they meet their English requirements. |
