My child has just started P1 in a popular local primary school. Although the homework is not toooo much (so far), we do not feel that the local system quite fits the way we want to raise our child. We, as parents, feel kind of pressured already and can anticipate that the pressure will just keep on increasing. Our child does not seem to have any problems with coping with the current school, it is just that we are not sure if we want to push him blindly to attain what the school has set for him in the next 10+ years. We are considering if we should change our child to an international school. But at the same time, we are not sure if we would regret it given that there is pretty much no way back to the local system once we have changed to an international school.
Can anyone please share their experience of changing from a local school to an international school?
Thanks! |
