My child was in Lingnan KG but not Lingnan Primary School. I have a friend whose daughter was in Lingnan Primary School before but she is now in Australia. Overall comments were good (Cantonese was the medium of instruction) but there were too few classmates in the class (only 10+).

ema - thanks. Your child do enjoy the school life in Lingnan KG?
I don't know anything about 蘇浙 so can't really compare... K3 graduates from Lingnan KG do get into a variety of 官津/直資/私校.
Hi Ema, I heard that St Paul's Co Ed takes kindy graduates from Lingnan. Is that true? I'm trying to decide between Lingnan PM class and Victoria AM class. Is Lingnan's morale/ EQ training 'better' than Victoria? What about the English training? Any insights you can give would be much appreciated. Thx.
Actually, Lingnan KG graduates got quite good offers from private/DSS primary schools including St Paul Co-ed, DGJS, etc. I don't know why but perhaps they thought the students are more disciplined despite the rather low (or easy) academic standards in Lingnan KG.
My younger children will be going to Victoria PN this year and I shall see the differenece (another reason why I don't choose Lingnan again is because I have moved away from HK Island).

Yes, I have this problem too. My girl got offer for PM class. I asked one of my friend (teacher). She said this school has very good 'word of month' from 'insiders'. But still, I have doubt due to the remote location and this school is less 'well-know' in compare with others. When I talked and asked other mommy-friends, not very much heard about this. I called to the school to see whether they have school bus from Kowloon side. The answer is strictly no, but they have conneting bus from MTR station. MTR for helper with my BB is too risky!!! Any one same as my case?
Dear all, I have the same concern as you guys...my son has been offered Lingnan AM class and Victoria PM class for pre-nursery in August...I finally decided to choose Lingnan after talking to two mommies who have their kids studying in Lingnan PN before....both of their kids are now studying in K1 SKH Central...They said Lingnan is very good in discipline and manner training...For K1 interview, many good kinders like well-behaved kids instead of kids who can manage few languages.
The other reason I didn't choose Victoria because my kid has been attending their playgroup for 1 year...it was only fair and teachers are not very caring
Besides, when looking at the P1 allocation for Victoria, around 20% of their graduates went to Victoria primary...so it all depends on whether you want your kids to enter local or international school.

Hope I pick the right choice – Lingnan!!
Our boy also received a whole day offer for K1 next year (2011), but still considering this against an offer from Precious Blood (AM) or Ling Liang (PM).
