You can also with good English in St. Mary's wor.. no worry. I agreed with other mums that learn more Chinese when your kid still young. English is more easy to learn.

Thanks all mamas for your suggestions.

She is having Putonghua for Chinese lessons so when she speaks in Cantonese, she uses putongha wording as cantonese like 出租車 and I have to change it to 的士. So i don't know if the chinese lesson is taught in Putonghua or Cantonese. In addition, she is "舉一反三"型 which is not the type that the teachers in St. Mary's want. 另一樣, 唔知而家有冇改善, 少讚多罵, 我女自信已不高怕到時更加打擊佢自信

小學是用廣東話教中文科, 中學會有兩班用普通話教中文科的, 不用擔心

小學初小的老師十分有愛心, 她們都經常讚學生, 乖的賞, 曳的勸告, 到高小才會嚴厲罰些累勸不改的學生, 不能同我哋當年做學生的比了

無論st.mary定maryknoll都會有咁既問題, 津校中文堂是用廣東話的, 我個女3年來都係普英雙語的幼稚園, 現在讀課文會少少攪笑, 如: 背著書包上學去, 佢會間中一兩個字用左普通話發音, 但由於我們家是說廣東話的, 她很快就會適應, 只是一周只有一堂普通話, 我就有點擔心, 學過的普通話都交回給老師了.........但津校就是這樣, 除非讀直資!!!
如果你真係心怡maryknoll就maryknoll囉, 天會幫你決定!!!

還有, 我個女好好彩, 佢既班主任好有愛心, 而且對教學很有熱誠, 相反, 我女兒同學入左maryknoll, 佢媽咪話個班主任未如理想.....

Thanks a lot. It seems the teachers will not act the same as our school years. As I remember, my teachers always like to scold students without any reasons at all.

Thanks for your information, it helps me to make up the decision.

I will talk to her class teacher and see if she will give me any advices.

聖瑪利同MARYKNOLL分別都幾大的, 不過, 大家都是頂班就完全正確!
聖瑪利的女生, 我覺得比較純品及有禮! (這是我個人觀點)

哈, 請家長容許我 "答" 咀

我個人認為, 如果有25分, 我就會試左先, 因為相對地, 機會高d. 但萬一唔得, 要誇區攪珠入maryknoll 都會好難.

其實st mary 同 maryknoll 個教學法, 似乎係唔太相同. 如果真係要選擇, 都可以考慮下邊一間較適合小朋友.

我也很羨慕你, 希望我個囡也有機會入讀此好學校.
請問第二輪派位, 是否住近學校的同區地址會較有利被抽中呢?我有朋友就是在住區大抽獎時只派到屋企旁的小學.而我亦看過bk有家長分享話自己搬到st. mary's 區住但也派不到st. mary's, 請問你及其他爸爸媽媽可否給我寶貴意見?

我是住在St. Mary 附近的, 平時每朝帶囡囡返學大約5 mins 的路程。我亦非常幸運地在大抽獎時派到St. Mary, 我知囡囡有位同學住在St. Mary 對面的大廈, 不過我唔知佢係唔係自行收生時已抽中。

但我曾經在報章看過一篇報導是有家長為了抽 La Salle 而搬往 La Salle 隔離的屋宛, 但不幸地沒有在大抽獎時抽中, 而他的朋友住的地方並不近 La Salle 反而在大抽獎俾佢中咗 !

所以, 我想未必因為住得較近學校一定抽到。

查實樣樣都要看運數的。
住不住到這地區也不是問題, 因真的住在這區也未必抽到ST MARY, 反而遠的還可以, 總之一切順期自然 !!希望下年亦可以見到你的囡囡吧 ! GOOD LUCK !

My daughter's studying P1 in St. Mary's now. Before Marynoll was my target instead, so for the 1st round I picked Marynoll with 20 marks but unsuccessfully. All in coincidence, I moved to St. Mary's net and I never thought I would take this school before since PLKCKY was my second choice. Since St. Mary's is still the best school in this net, so I choice it as my second round and luckily was successfully drawn. And now I really love the school which's organised, teachers do really care the students and the additional class system for those weeker child is also very caring and I found is better than Maryknoll in this angle. Furthermore, I do agree that teaching in Chinese for like Mathematics is better than English. And learning Chinese is much more difficult than English too.

even though the birth rate on 2004 is not high, I really aware many old girls have 25 marks this year. Bear in mind that those with sisters in Primary section contributed 30% (about 36 seats), and those with sis in Sec section (35 marks / 30 marks) and old girls and catholic (25 marks) shared the 24 seats (20%) only.

We old girls has shared that the chance of direct admission for 25 is low nowadays
