Dear Principal,

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I did call the school bus company this afternoon. She gave us an unfair reply and refused to arrange a stop in the podium of Metro Town. So, I want to know how many TSL students are living in Metro Town and discuss with their parents.

In that case, you have to wait for the reply from other TSL parents living in your area.

Normally, the school bus company will try to strike a balance between the number of stops and a reasonable journey time to and from the school.
The final number of stops in a particular route will depend on how many pupils will take the school bus.
Every year, there will be P6 graduates leaving the school and new P1 pupils joining the school.
Also, the second phase P1 admission has not been completed yet. There could be some more new P1 pupils living in your area.

You may call the school bus company in mid-July and discuss the possibility with them again.

In any case, the final timetable of the school bus will only be known at the end of August.

Thanks for your advice. It's very helpful.

But we can't understand why this school bus company can conclude without waiting for the actual student figures and refused us on the phone today.

Let me share my experience with you. Last year, I did request my kids' Kindergarten to add a stop in Metro Town. The response from the Kindergarten is very professional. They accepted our request with a very proactive action. They even allow us to select the bus stop location (anywhere within the podium). To be frank, the service level of this school bus company has room to improve.

This school bus company did tell me that the new TSL student will have a low priority in school bus service. I do think no parent can accept this kind of unfair handling !

I think there is still room for negotiation.

The school bus company might not know the final number of pupils taking school bus in all the routes yet.

Try to talk to them calmly again in mid-July and see what happens.

Meanwhile, you can wait for some more advice from other TSL parents living in your area.
