By the way, SC does not call the E/P class "International Class", vs other KG. I think it is because it has 2 class teachers (班主任 one native Eng, one native PTH,in K1 but it is not that case in K2. I think the decrease in Eng teaching time in K2 made it do not called itself "International class"

For about 8 kids I know who got SC's acceptance for either E/P or E/C, are from Private N1 in TKO / Lam Tin, so locationwise seems not a bit issue.

But for those accepted by E/P, kids all know PTH, mainly due to family education. That will be the main difference I can see so far.

Thank you, BH_2, i would like to clarify that "kids all know PTH," means they can communicate with the teachers with PTH, or they simply can understand the instruction?

Moreover, do you see any difference on the primary school achievement between those students graduated from E/P & E/C?

For my son and other kids I know, they can reply to PTH teacher's question during the interview lo , though they only need to speak very few, most time just showing their understanding of the intruction, besides, when the PTH teacher asked parent something, the parent should show their own ability to use PTH or the plan to teach in home too, that will hv some credit I think.

For primary, sorry I don't hv 1st hand info as my kid is still young, but if possible, not bad to let kids familar with PTH as the main language..

Kids are smart in learning, eg, we know PTH in the family, but basically we use Cantonese to talk with grandpa/ma, and English to my son, not paying a lot of time to practice or teach him PTH, but he can selective use PTH to reply if he "think" the one asked him don't know Eng/ Cantonese well...

my friend's boy also choose PTH/Eng class and interview, but finally the school think that the chilrden is much suitable for the Chi/Eng class and change him to eng/chi class.

And is highly recommended to let children to take N1 before go to K1, they can learn more, but not only in language but the communicate method to due with children and the school life. This is a must for the children, but this is also not easy to learn if the children only stay at home. For chinese, numbers, English, all the parents can teach your own children, but the aspect of school life and cope with others is difficult to learn at home and also the major problem when children go to K1.
