各位家長,
請問咩係國際班? 我聽講過非國際學校內有國際班, 呢類國際班同國際學校有咩唔同? 點解非國際學校會開設國際班呢? Thanks...

It's all about market force; there's demand from parents on non-traditional syllabus and some schools react fast to absorb the demand.

i agreed with what Dove said. Besides, those kindergartens offering 國際班 are quite money oriented. They also have the ordinary class and 國際班. If you can afford more, you can go to 國際班. If the teaching methods applied in 國際班 are really good, why don't they  apply them in the ordinary class. It is what a "real" Educationist should do. But I think that they are money oriented and rely very much on the market and not an "Educationist".

So, what are the differences between 國際班 and ordinary classes at 非國際學校 (both are under the same headmaster, same school principle I suppose)?

Are those higher costs attribute to different teaching materials ( appoint native English and Mandarin teachers for instance)?

主流班
whole day school fee: $27,000 annaul
(小學、幼兒/稚園)以普通話作為教學語言。因為普通話寫出來就是文章，從小學習普通話，可提高學生的中文水平，使他們的閱讀及寫作能力增強。而英文科則以英語為教學語言，特聘專業外籍教師教導標準英語會話發音。

國際班
School fee: $55,000 annual
創辦於一九九三年，由幼稚園至小學六年級，為各國籍講英語的學生提供了英國制課程，又同時保留了自己的民族文化和傳統的優良品德。國際班聘請英國本土學位教師任教，而第二外語則為中文，由操純正普通話的中國教師擔任，音樂及體育亦以普通話授課。
KCIS[International Section] has adopted a modified version of the British National Curriculum from Primary 1 through to Primary 6, with English, Mathematics and Science as the Core subjects. Other subjects are taught through cross-curricular, topic-based activities, that include Geography, History, Information Technology and Music.

Few more questions:
請問呢間學校既其他科目如: Geography, Economics..etc..在主流班是用中文書藉嗎? 那在國際班全部科目都是用英文書藉吧 (except Chinese Lit. and Chinese history)?

兩類班別既學生會有交流嗎 (in any ways)?

這兩類班別既收生standards 一樣嗎?

In primary school 主流班, it doesn't have Geography, Economics. All subjects except English use 中文書藉

Both of them are under the same buildlng. Only in different classrooms.

Sorry that I have no idea about the 收生standards
