The one at Waterloo Road, Kln. Tong is a Chinese teaching primary school. It links with its Chinese Secondary School - the one near KCR Station. You can visit the schools and compare the secondary school allocation results.

So far, my daughter enjoys her school life very much. Every day I see her wearing a big smile on her face. About homework, normally there're 3-4 items per day and one dictation for English and Chinese respectively each week. In my view, it's good enough if I want my daughter to be competitive, although sometimes I think her schedule is too tight. According to the TL Headmaster, they will provide us recommendation to HKTL. However, I may not consider as HKTL is too far away from my house and I don't want my daughter wake up too early for the school bus.

my girl study at HK TL P1, there are 5-6 items per day which can be finished by 45 mins.... there are 3 exam, 3 test, 6 eng dictation & 6 chinese dictation in a school year (no weekly dictation

)

As far as I know, both TLs are under same parents but separate management. Kln TL is linked to TL Middle School in Waterloo Rd. I think the most important is to consider the distance between your house and the school. Otherwise, your kid needs to wake up very early (i.e. 6:30am) and be home after 4pm. It's very very pity for a kid to run out their time like this and continue their homeworks/ revisions further. My approach is "wait and see" - I will observe one year in Kln TL and determine if my daughter transfer to other school. If she feels happy and comfortable with the school, I will drop this thought.

Many thanks Mrs.lee and chiuhk for your valuable advice.Yes,Distance between my home and the school is the most important factors that I need to consider.What do you think if St.Paul -CoEdu (Mac or Kenn rd) accept your/my application ?
On the other hand,I think we can meet the home work assignment by KLN TL,just tell u the fact that my daughter Kd have 3 assignment per day and 2 test per week and later she need to perform unseen dictation !(N.B.Don't ask me the name of the Kd)

Ladies,

Check with the school first. I recall that this primary school only links with its Chinese one in Kln. Tong (the one near KCR station), not the one at Waterloo Road, which is an English teaching middle school.

Which school your daughter is now studying? I think it's too terrible for a 6-year old kid to have 2 tests per week. Is the test for all subjects or only for Eng & Chinese?

I live in HK East ... my girl have to catch the school bus on 7:00 am ~~

(wake up by 6:15)
Anyway... I find it is not bad after a month, I can do some exercise before I go office.. I look a bit slim now

Mrs Lee,
What my concern is about the kid but not yourself.
I really don't want my kid have the school life so busy like this. It's not good for their mental & physical. If I can, I'd prefer my daughter's school is just downstairs of my house. This will let her have more time for sleep, play & study.

I live at HK East ah... not Kln east

My girl study at Tai Hang (HK) TL kinder ga..
Actually the travelling time should less than half an hour from HK East to Tai Hang
