My opinion / experience, the training class is useless:
1. Government school: by luck only
2. Private school: interview for 5 to 10 minutes only. They will choose kids for family background, kindergarten.......... Unless your kid is very smart and draw great attention to the principal during interview, otherwise interview can give you 20% change only.

This is my own opinion only.
