what i heard from this year's seminar that parents will be interviewed / met separately so that they can get to know more what WE think about the school concept and also let us have a channel to ask more questions. They will interview all parents in 2 dates...i cannot recall the proper dates..but remember they fall in the week of 4th and 11th. They will send us a letter to confirm.

"去年 (2003 interview for 2004 P1) 都有面見家長" is TOTALLY UNTRUE, who told you this??  Hundreds of  parents were gathered at the school hall for a briefing by the Principal with a Q&A section.

For 2002 interview for 2003 P1, there were group discussion sections (10 parents each time), chaired by the Principal.  Parents considered this is "interview", so they competing each others to answer questions raised by the Principal.

That's really what i heard personally from their seminar on 29 August. I don't know if they made changes afterward or not.

In fact, I did wonder if the applications to their school are so overwhelmingly successful, how can they arrange interview with parents individually?? It definitely takes a lot of time. According to what i heard, they only schedule 2 days for the interviews and they promised to the parents that they will interview All applicants. If they interview ALL applicants, they should also interview ALL parents (if there is really such interview happening) otherwise fairness will be challenged. However, if they do carry out ALL the interviews with the parents...let's assume there are 1000 applicants' parents..each takes only 5 mins...and let's say they work 12 hours a day which is quite impossible, it already takes more than 6 days.

If each interview takes less than 5 mins....i wonder the "purpose" and the "effectiveness".

I also have doubt that this is really going to happen. Let's wait and see.

I see. I think it is still possible, depending on how they arrange.

Take it easy, there is no perfect method to select students, also different schools may have different target students. Treat it just like a game, let your kid feel like playing a game. Don't make him/her nervous because of seeing you worried.

Still hasn't received any letter yet regarding the interview date.

Has any mom who applied this school for your child received the letter? Just wanna to know the approx dates.

Hi Chong,
As checked with HKUGA, they said will send the letter to us on next week. As know fm their opening date, the interview date should be Oct 2 or Oct 9.
