ESF faces $28m funding cut
To day from SCMP:
The government is planning to cut funding to the English Schools Foundation (ESF) by a further 10 per cent next year, triggering dismay among parents and teachers.
The $28.18 million cut would reduce the ESF's public funding - or subvention - to $253.6 million, nearly $50 million less than it was six years ago, when government spending on the foundation began to be reined in.
