今年是第一次有第二輪面試, 你們認為是否必定要父母一齊出席, 我打電話去學校, 佢話最重要是小朋友出現.  我好擔心會扣分, 因為爹oD要出差. 我知道有些學校是刻意睇父母是否有出席. 你地點睇呀?

Hi Yonniewong,

I trust that it is ok, if only one of the parents goes along with the boy.  

The school is quite considerate towards working parents, and in such time of financial tusnami, it is understandable that taking too many leaves is a risky business.

Primary school interview is also a risky business.  Success or not sometime is really depending on the "fitness" of the kid on that particular day.  

Have faith in our boys, this is only first of many challenges in front of them.

Martse,
爸爸最後都特登返香港同囝囝去Interview, 因為大家都覺得入到300都是不容易, 而且爸爸都希望可以 support吓囝囝同媽咪. 唔駛我地咁孤單.
過程都好順利, 囝囝都坐得好定. 不過總有答得不好的地方. 但我地相信囝囝已經盡佐力. 其實我只擔心囝囝唔係係名校幼稚園讀書, 而影響學校唔揀佢.
我已經讚佐佢好多次, 因為對於一個5歲既小朋友已經做得好好.

Don't worry about the Kinder, my son was from a Kinder running by a social service NGO, and no discussion thread of that kinder in KB.  Not joking, the kinder was described as 茶餐廳 by the kinder's own teacher but the teacher was proud when saying so.  She had such right to be proud because she worked from 7am till 7 pm on weekdays and half-day on Saturday to serve children from working families.  That kinder had offered three happy and solid years for my boy, and drawings from those days are still on the wall in his room.

I did deeply appreciate SPCPS then interview style and every one was interviewed by Mrs. Chan.  Also, no question in English or PTH, otherwise my son could have no chance in securing a place.

It reflects the confident level of the school towards her own ability to provide good education.  And do we need to push our kids so hard from such early stage in the kinder?

Thank you very much for your sharing!
I totally agree with you that the arrangement of interview is really good, which is no question on PTH.  Otherwise, my son might fail again.  My husband and I found that both headmistress and teachers are very nice and the main point is that they use their whole hearts to teach and communicate with children.  
Even though I got the offer from a private school in Kowloon Tong, I am still waiting for St. Paul.
Envy of your son to be a St. Paul Boys' student.

yes, hogwarts you are right, I share the same feeling with you.

Yonniewong, don't worry, hope can see your son in SPC P.1 next yr.
