I always heard 油天 is a good school, may any of the existing mom can tell me a little bit more on the school? What is this school famous for? Thanks very much!!

PS: Heard that their English education is good, that's why I know.

油天有教會支持, 資源足, 多創新, 往往是小學先鋒, 好似6,7年前已開始用普通話教中文, 校園電台, e-test等都係比人快一步.

津貼小學來講, 英文程度唔夠私校深, 不過數學就教得快, 數底唔好, 讀油天會較辛苦.

Cause I am working mother , may I know any 課外活動 is it in weekday afternoon or in Saturday . What time and when?

學校好多活動, 由星期一至六都有, 係自由參加. 活動是在平日放學後, 星期六就早上至下午都有.

Do the school expect students know how to spell when they starts P.1? Some of my friends said many govt sudsidized schools do not expect new P.1 know how to spell because they come from different kindergartens.

Another thing is I find the school hour is very long, do they have summer school time, i.e. finish school early in summer?? Do they have any free time to do some of the homework at school?

Sorry too many questions, but I don't know anybody who is studying at 油天, and recently I'd been told by many moms that I am crazy sending my son to 油天 because their standard is too high, they said the school encourage students to take extra private tuitions, is that true??

開學頭一個月仲係適應期, 唔會有默書, 之後就開始有中, 英默書, 即係要串字架!

間間返全日制學校都係差唔多時間, 返學時間唔係特別長.
每日最後一堂係功課輔導, 有小老師教小朋友做功課.
學校從來都無迫小朋友去補習, 只係家長想小朋友成績進步先至會俾小朋友補習. 我覺得唔關學校事.

But do most students have private tuitions? In your opinion, does it help for an average boy? Many people advised me that I should let my son join as many exta-curriculum activities as possible because that would help his studies in long run, do you think it's true?

I saw our result of secondary school allocation, it seems our result is dropping and so does the new油天, do you know why? I thought we are a lot better than Tak Shun (academic-wise)but it seems their allocation this year is quite good. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy that my son can get into 油天, I'm just curious.

你個小朋友都未開始讀小一, 你已經開始擔心升中派位.
其實政府政策時時變, 到你個小朋友升中時, 都唔知變成點.
唔駛太擔心住, 最緊要小朋友讀得好, 就點派位都無問題.

明年又話唔再分英中及中中, 所以真係話變就變, 你都係到時先再諗啦!

今年係第一年取消以前學能測驗成績派位, 再憑小六評估成績派位, 因此百分比同往年有些差別.

無論改革係點, KEEP到小朋友考到100名內就係最穩陣.

I have question for P1?
1)學校小一起巳經開始了普通話教中文, 小朋友可以應付到嗎?
If I don't know 普通話, how can I teach my child at home? How to 默書.

2)每日最後一堂係功課輔導, 有小老師教小朋友做功課, is it can finished all homework before go home? Normally student is it can finished?

3) E.g Chinese , English , Math 測驗 normally need how many days prepare?

1. 開始時都會用廣東話, 讓小朋友慢慢適應的. 學校有普通話班給小一家長報讀, 不過要睇下你自己岩唔岩時間. 另外有隻課文普通話cd, 默書時可以播俾小朋友聽. 平時幫小朋友默書, 我都係用廣東話.

2. 通常最後1堂, 小朋友抄完手冊, 都唔係剩好多時間, 小朋友快手就會做剩好少功課, 做得慢就返家繼續.

3. 多數有1個星期以上時間預先通知學生.

你好, 我是一個新手媽媽, 現在搵緊資料比個仔. 的人話要找到心儀的小學才決定讀邊間Kinder.
我住Tsuen Wan, 冇能力搬出九龍. 不過想個仔在九龍讀書, 我anutie叫我揀油天, 佢話間學校好好, 可以升到好的中學. 叫我去考, 如果唔到, 報佢地址, 我都唔知得唔得. 原來可以自己去試, 唔得再抽獎呀?

我本人冇宗教信仰,即是只得15分, 係咪一的機會都冇呢? 請指教!
