Free Playgroup in Causeway Bay

I noticed that there was a new playgroup call "Little Shepherd Playgroups" in Causeway Bay. They provide free trial class for 1 week.
Age group : 12-18Mths & 19-36Mths.

Baby is our future ;-)

Thanks Family Man for your info.

I've just joined their free lesson this morning. I will also go on Thursday and Friday.

The class has only 5 kids (including my boy). The play group is quite good and kids are playing happily.

But the tutor is a bit less experienced (I think).

Overall it is satisfactory.

Sharing is a good habit we teach our kids, so we, parent should do the same.

I heard that their tutor are qualify Montessori teachers.

Anyway, you should try the whole week lesson, it's free ,right!

Hi Familyman,

I've no idea that the tutors are qualified Montessori teachers or not, but they told me that they still not yet started to use Montessori materials in class because:-
(1) Problem of funding (cos the material is quite expensive)
(2) Problem of storage (cos the centre cannot squeeze much space for keeping the material)

Hence the class which my boy attended yesterday did not involve any Montessori teaching method.

I know that they had ordered the teaching material already, may be not yet been shipped.

Are you interesting in story books set(kids)?
I have bought 2 sets of book last week which are very good homing learning material, but it costed me $15,000.

I am very happy to learn that you also bought this english programme.   My younger son really very loves the books.  I have seen the DWE & ET before I made the purchasing.  I would like to use more my time to play with kid rather than to join a playgroup.  I know that playgroup may provide more opportunity for my kid to learn share with other kid, corporate etc.  But kid at home time is much more, we can play together at home any time.  I am a working mother, I don't have much more time to make the material at home, so I bought the whole.  If I have some tools at home that will 事半成倍.
