In addition to what I've mentioned here, I also got an impression that the non-teaching staff of KTS are not too helpful. The following is my personal experience:
- I arrived at the school at 12:40 p.m. on the first registration date and requested whether it was possible for me to do the registration. I was asked by the account staff to wait until 1:30 p.m. though they were at the school. There were other parents waiting outside too. Quite waste of our time as lunch time is the only flexible time that we can do our personal businesses.
- I once asked the staff whether they had received my kid's application form (sometimes in 10/2003) as they did not send out any acknowledgement. They replied that they would not check for me as they had plenty of applications.
- I asked the school whether it was possible for me to order the school uniform later and whether I could do the registration on 9/6 as I cannot take a day off on 8th. They asked you have to arrange for yourself and they will not receive money on 9th. And you have to order the school uniform on 8th even though your kid will not join the summer preparatory course.

I really wonder whether the school would offer support to those parents who are really in need during the 6 years school days.

So think seriously!

My friend's son is studying the school and she highly recommends the school much. She said the teachers are helpful, staff is friendly indeed. I went there once with her and found that the campus is spacious and very suitable for studying. There are many activities for the kids, and her son likes to go to school very much.

I have a little bit different of opinions. As I've observed the school for several months (Some of my friends' kids are studying at that school), the staffs there, no matter the teaching or the non-teaching staffs are very kind and sincere to answer all the questions. The students are very polite and love the schoolings very much. The teachers are very patient and pay a lot of afford on arousing students' learning interests. The students have a lot of extra activities after school or on Saturday. Besides, they got many prizes in the inter-school competitions. The information I got about the school is from their web-site ktsps.edu.hk

My kid is going to primary one too in this coming September. If the allocation from the government is not my first choice, I will put him to this school as my son loves the environment very much.

The process of registration to me was very smooth and the school staff were very helpful.  It totally got no problem to me.

I have friends whose children are now studying there.  Gathered information from them though the academic standard is high, their children are studying there happily and confidently.  Teachers are sincere and patient. They enjoy going to school everyday.  Moreover, parent also need to get ready for many parents talk held by this school for almost every 2 months esp. at P.1 level.

Regarding the KTS got no connection with any other secondary schools, that might be a drawback but it will not be the only major determinant whether I will enrol my children into this school.

I've just talked a friend whose kid is a graduate of KTS. He highly recommends too. So, I got to make up my mind. KTS or True Light as 8th is approaching.

我派位雖然在本區第一志願，但心儀的跨區落空了，我今晚真的睡不著，如果心儀的學校叩門失敗，我想仔仔好大機會讀KTS，好多朋友說此校真的不錯，但一看教科書程度好深呀！我怕仔仔追不上，到時要轉校就慘，所以都好煩。

I will pay the "min. charge" on the 8th. But I still have to make up my mind before July whether I take KTS or True Light. I've already decided to give up Tak Nga, which is famous for making "peking ducks".

I have the same situation like san0530. I think I will go for registration at KTS on 8 June. I don't worry about the high standard of the cirrculum as I've known the teachers will help the students by using creativity activities.

I was told that students of Tak Nga would have 7-8 assignments every day and the no. would jump up to 15 on Friday. The school campus is small so the duration of class is limited to half day. So you can imagine how intensive the course has to be if it has to be finished within half day (as compared with the whole day schools). Extra-curricular activities are limited. You may also have a look on the comments found in this web site. Having said that Tak Nga has 2 linked primary schools (girls only). Pl also note it is in Sham Shui Po net (for secondary school) not Kln. City / Kln. Tong net. That's why I reject it even I had paid the reg. fee last year.

For my kid, luckily she has been accepted by KTS, True Light and Tak Nga. She's still on the waiting lists of Good Hope and Kln. Rhenish. As expected she was rejected by Kln. Alliance and DGS. The result is more or less as what I planned in last year. So before you apply, think about your strategy and estimate your kid's strengths and weaknesses critically.

Being "Ah Q", I am 100% happy about the lucky draw result as I never have any expectation, cos. I live in Yuen Long and indeed I have been planning to let my kids study in Kln. since kindergarten. Hence, I even don't remember what I filled in the form. Indeed, I don't want my kids' future be determined by luck. I want her to have choices. Even she tried DGS etc. and was failed, at least she tried.

I can't remember whether I was asked to fill in the parents' school names in the application form. Perhaps, you can try to download the form from KTS's web site. Indeed, my wife and I are not graduates of any school that have accepted our kid.
