I learnt from a friend a good practice, always invited their friends back home for activities, projects or whatever since P1.
The advantages are:
1. you know your kids peers and also their parents, like did they care about their kids, how they taught their kids in discipline, behaviour etc;
2. we discovered some kids have behaviour or value problems. One of my son's classmate used our computer to browed porno sites a few months ago. My son identified him and awared some of his classmate. So two week ago, the class master discovered 12 kids (Included my son) using mobile phone to browe porno sites in school. My son denied the blame and some boys among the gang also witnessed he wasn't, so he escaped from the punishment.
Now, he understands more on the value system and how to pick "friends" in and out school. |
