I just got the admission letter for the ESF Tsing Yi kindergarten
May I ask:
1/ what program is ESF school offer for the student in primary or secondary session? Is it IB program?
2/ How is its Chinese or Pontonghua level?
3/ How easy is its kindergarten student got admission to its primary session? Any interview needed?
4/ If my child finish the kind in Tsing Yi, How can I arrange the primary school? Can I apply Both Sha Tin Junior school and RC at the same time?

hi liyinfai,

1.1 primary is running IB

1.2 http://www.esf.edu.hk/index.aspx?nodeID=45&langNo=1

2. minimum 2 lessons per week and 45 minutes each

3. priority will be given to students who are attending ESF kindergarten (for year 1 only)

I have another question, may be if you can help me:
Actually my child is studying Keen Mind Bilingual class in Klowoon Tong, If I give up ESF kindergarten registration, What do you think the chance of getting accepted in Primary Year one class in ESF later? RC is one of my target school!

As my own understanding,

RC is a ESF private IS and is not under the regular ESF addmission system! So anyone from any kinder could apply!  Besides,  you can apply both ESF primary and ESF private IS in the same time. (please correct me if I've made mistake)

ESF primary will give interview priority to those native English speaking children and kids from ESF kinders.  Other children can still apply but I think the chances of being accepted is relatively slim!  If you are targeted to ESF primary(not RC), I think you'd better send your child to ESF kinder!
