協恩精神
快要升中面試了,如果想了解什麼是協恩精神,從這些傑出校友的贈言就可見一二。TWMa介紹的那段如下,之後還有一段我很喜歡的。
Ms Kwan Sau-king (余非) (Matriculation in the 1980's); Writer
"Heep Yunn's entrance gate stirs my emotion the most. I graduated in year 1980. Many classmates were living in public housing estates at that time. Our homes therefore were so small that we needed to stay at the school to do homework after coming off from class. As the gate was closed at night, we always pulled up our cheongsam uniform in order to pass over the gate. Once I came by the teacher's room, overhearing that the deputy headmaster spoke to a janitor: ‘when the night falls, just keep the door ajar for a while. It is not good and quite dangerous (for the girls) to climb the gate wearing cheongsam.' Having heard this, I was moved deeply. As an administrator, she did not put administration first. She understood our needs were real and she cared about not just students she knew or was teaching. She had taught none of us. I am very thankful to Heep Yunn for enabling me to take human nature and human kindness positively. I was not aware of such influence until I went to work in society and encountered some critical challenges in my value system. Such invisible gains have helped me greatly."
Ms Yolanda Chan Ho-yan (matriculation in 2000)
Resident, Department of Surgery, Kwong Wah Hospital
...The memories that I cherish most, however, are those of my time in HYS. Throughout the seven years in the blue cheong sams, we studied together, played together, grew up as one school. With the abundant opportunities we were granted, we grew in all aspects, from naive little girls into mature and able young adults.
Perhaps girls have been known to be talkative, but at HYS, we have all learned to speak in public with conviction, confidence and grace.
Perhaps some girls are skilled musicians or talented singers, but at HYS, we have all learned to perform as one, even when we sing different vocal parts or play different instruments.
Perhaps some girls are star athletes, with exceptional physical abilities, but at HYS, we have learned to strive for our personal best, to not be afraid to fall, and more importantly, should we fall, to pick ourselves up and complete the race.
Whenever I am asked which secondary school I studied in, I am always proud to say, "I am a Heep Yunn girl."

剛上中學網頁, 發現 "The Elites" 處增加了一些資料.
有幾個傑出校友的留言很感人, 我尤其喜歡關秀瓊的那段. |
