I have read many news/information about 沙田倍僑書院 for a long time. I was planning to let my daughter to apply this school.   But, after attending the open day held on last Fri, I have changed my mind.   The English standard of the R2 students is not so good. (sorry to their parents).   Most of them spoke broken sentence.     What's the view of their attendees?

As a parent, I feel it is unfair to judge a school based on a 10 minute performance by young children, standing on a stage, in front of a room full of adults!  It takes a lot of courage for people to talk in front of others, especially in a language which is not their native one. Personally, I felt the performance was unrehearsed and spontaneous, much like what is relfected in real life, rather than drilled and prepared.

I like that the school teaches English naturally, so that students can use the language, instead of memorising it for the sake of exams.

Hi, I am a new memeber and live in Kornhill area.  My son is now in G1 in Pui Kiu. To be a mother who loves the kid and care about their 6 years primary school life so much, I make a decision to let me son to study in Pui Kiu.  When you think about the time my son travels daily between Kornhill & Tai Wai, and turned down the offers of acceptance from the other famous DSS schools, it will be insane to do so if you think the school is not good enough.  So far, my son always wears a smile on his face when he mention about his school life.  I think I've made the right decision.

I'm happy to see the parents being so supportive.  Well of course as a current parent, we need to and want to be supportive.  Afterall the school is new, and i do not have complaints about their adm.  A few hiccups maybe, but not major.

We live in Shatin and everyday need to spend 30 mins on school bus.  It's already a pain, because the kid is so tired everyday.  But I think it's worth it as long as he's enjoying and learning.  I give a big hand to cnkma as your kid is travelling a much longer way in order to go to a school you and your kid likes.

Let's all grow with the school!
