Correct me if I am wrong!
Studying in PLK CKY will require 5 years in Primary, 5 years in IGCESE and 2 years IB diploma. That means totally 12 years pre-university education.
In fact, this arrangement is some extent alike the one adopted by international school. But most of international schools (except the one is using American/Canadian system) will admit P1 students when they are aged 5, i.e. K2.
So, if any student from local school want to change to PLK CKY,let's say this student is P5 now and to be P6 next year, from CKY's point of view, this student does not reach the first year's level (Y6) of secondary education yet. So, this student should in that sense stay in Y5. From this point of view, this student does not lose anything, because this student will go into the university at the same year when this student would stay in the local school.
I attended CKY's briefing about a year ago. They said they would admit P6 student of local school to be CKY's Y6 student, if this student's English is good enough.
Declare my interest: I am not CKY's parent!!

PLK CKY 小學5年制,但為何係普通學校讀緊要repeat1年呢?
但係佢地小一,係收K3升上去既,而唔係收小一生. |
