Re: 手提電腦

Not that I know of: most are still using PCs.
But I think most new schools (IS or local) would choose Mac if they are starting from zero.

But why not?
It is one choice or the other.
For small children, both Mac and PC are new to them. They need to learn from square one anyway.
Macs are children and dummies friendly. Anyone can learn using it on his own by simply exploring around. This is something not really possible with PC. My dad got his Mac Book a while ago and can now edit his own video. He is 65 years old and it is the first time he owns a computer.
Macs are also powerful. They have been widely used in the design and publishing industry for a long time. I think secondary school students would find Macs very useful in preparing and presenting their homeworks, projects, etc.
Parental control (or adminstrative control) is very easy with a Mac. Even ordinary people like me can easily learn to monitor/control the use of a Mac. And THIS is important for us parents.
If you are simply talking about their looks, Macs are modern. The white version fit in well in houses, offices, schools with modern design. It would go well with your Philippe Stark toilet, if you want to surf the net while doing your "big job".
The "opening screen" is beautiful, as compared to Windows (in fact, Microsoft did "copy" Mac when redesigning Windows didn't they).
I have an iMac and found it extremely easy to use. Even a child can learn to make cards, edit video, etc, on his own, with the softwares that comes with the computer.
With the big hit iPod and the soon-to-release iPhone, who wouldn't want to have a Mac too? Go to a Mac shop and play with one. You would wish you had got a Mac earlier. No kidding.
Hoo, I now sound like I work for Mac.
But for people who have been very very used to using a PC like me (I have been using the PC since the 80286/80386 age), you might want to keep a PC around just in case.
