我已決定給我個囡囡在06年讀培僑書院一年級, 很同意它們的辦學理念 但是擔心English Standard.
I called the scholl this morning and ask for why the school still not withdraw the deposit from the bank. He told me not to worry as they still not withdraw the money yet.
I also aked when to do the registeration, he told me not to worry again, you will guarantee to have a seat. I also told him that I already have another DSS school accept my daughter and paid the deposit as well. He tole me that the letter that I signed from other DSS school will only affect the government central system of P1 selection and will not affect the two schools offer as I already paid the deposit at both schools.
He told me that I still have more time to consider as the registeration will be held next Summer.
The attitude of the school staff from 培僑 is very kind but I still believe that the teachers are strong in PTH but not English. I am not sure if 2 days per week English speaking environment is sufficient enough to train up my daughter English.
From 培僑 Middle School in North Point history, the have about 80% student get into University and 2 top notch student (Pui Ching got 4, King's got 20, DSS got 11, St. Paul got 19, Maryknoll got 15).
So it's not bed at all. I am sure with the new college of 培僑, the % of student go upto University will be higher too (But lack of track record on English skills, so it's really depends on how they going to implement it and seek the balance between PTH and English).
