Hi kawai,

thank you for so many information after your visit.  I forgot to ask you to get one more bottle of Colostrum from Dr Trodd but anyway I think I should meet him shortly in order to learn more about the new development.

My son likes the vitamin C as recommended by you very much.  His fever was gone yesterday but I think it will come again after he goes to school next week.  As discussed, my first priority now is to improve his immune system otherwise it seems he cannot absorb the other supplements.

I also feel that it will be better to arrange the EETC in the afternoon.  As your son is still small, the afternoon nap is important to him.  Or could you arrange the ABA to start by 3-3:30?

各位, 多謝哂你哋寶貴意見. 阿仔eetc由9am至12noon. 如果轉下午班, 由1pm至4pm. 由我屋企去eetc要成個鐘頭, 如果上午做aba(9am至12noon), 咁就根本無咗食晏時間, 所以我至無一開始aba就要求轉eetc到下午班. 不過而家都會去申請轉eetc做下午, 情願每次遲少少上eetc. 希望佢係aba度得益大d啦.

今朝發現阿仔發燒,(38.6c), 我好似聽聞一般兒科醫生俾的退燒葯水(panadol), 都有添加d嘢, 對a仔唔係幾好. 請指教一下. 我原本都約咗聽日去見dr trodd, 係咪應該問佢攞退燒葯水?

又請問kawai介紹邊隻vitamin c? 可否轉介紹給我? 因為我都明白最近佢一定忙到飛起.

The organic acid urine test is done by Metametrix.  It costs HK$3,500 from Dr. Trodd.  I know this Lab has a branch here in HKG and you can walk-in to do the test at a lower cost at around $2,000.  Here's their US official web site.

For the Chelation therapy, DAN protocol doesn't use Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) as a natural chelation supplement.  However,  this is a super antioxidant for detoxification with no harm.  Click to see Dr. Andy Cutler's protocol and get more idea about the combination of DMSA + ALA.  He's a great guy who has been treating many many autistic kids in US.

DMSA capsule is really smelly and nothing can be used to mask the smell and taste.  I think liquid form is easy to swallow and taste better.  You may ask Dr. Lam to get it if your son really can't tolerate the capsule.

HayBMum,

Dr. Trodd highly recommended the Transfer Factor Plus which is a similar thing of bovine colostrum but it's more expensive than Kirkman's colostrum.  He charged me $600 per bottle with 60 capsules.  I probably will order it online if it works for immunization support.

I got a book entitled Natural Alternatives to Vaccination.  It mentioned that bovine colostrum is one of the best immune-enancing supplements.  Trust me, it's worth a try.

Dear Ultramom,
My son got fever and had not attended school for the last 1 week. He is now recovered. Did you bring your child to see a Paediatrician? You must. Sometimes just anti-fever drug may not work. My son got tonsillitis and needed antibiotic treatment.

我早幾日都約咗今朝見dr trodd. 點知阿仔昨日開始發燒, 所以就順便揾佢睇嘢發燒. 我話俾dr trodd聽我俾咗兩次panadol阿仔食, 不過燒都冇退. 今朝連把聲都沙嘢. dr trodd話佢喉嚨發炎(viral), 當然冇俾antibiotics啦, 俾咗支ibuprofen, 佢話好過pandadol喎.

阿仔今次睇完, dr trodd 話做dmsa chelation喎, 做2次, 然後翻去抽血驗肝功能...

講真我就有d驚, 希望幫到阿仔啦.

My son also takes the liquid form. And he will say:
好臭啊! while taking it. I guessed he copied what I said. He will swallow it every time easily.

My husband and I have made injection of B12 twice to my son at home. Can only comment in one word:倫盡！First time, I did not put the needle deep enough when I tried to make 30% injection and had to do it again. 2nd time was last night, my son refused to sleep as he overheard our talking to give him injection after sleep. At 12:00 midnight, we decided to make action though he was still awake. He cried and moved so much that he used his hand to pull the needle out while my husband was hardly finishing the injection.. My husband was blaming me not holding my son well and he was so 心痛。 He asked me how long B12 injection must be lasting? Any one knows?

Now, my son will 過敏反應 while we take any neddle like things near him or say the words about it....

Hi All,

mickeyma's concerns are exactly ours too.  It is just the DMSA provocation stage but my son has refused to it and up till now we are still not able to collect the urine a week after the visit to Dr. Lam.  Though we were given some DMSA capsules to put into his anus as alternative, we haven't decided to use that as it could be equally difficult in application.  Afterall he is no more a baby.

The B12 injection is another concern.  Several months ago when we visited Dr. Trodd, he also suggested the injection but at that time we decided to drop it for a while for fear of negative reinforcement, etc.  Last week in Dr. Lam's office, Dr. Lam gave my son a quick injection (he is professional) but before that I still needed to struggled a bit to pin my son down onto my lap.  Dr. Lam appreciated the difficulty too.  We are not talking about one injection for a whole life long but 2 to 3 times per week for a significant period of time...

I know that PCA-Rx is a more natural agent for heavy metal detox and is kidney and liver friendly.  Just don't know if Dr. Lam would use that or not.

I was told by Dr. Trodd previously there is a B12 lotion.  I know that oral form is available too.  Anyone who has got experiences with these?

kawai, is PCA-Rx doctor-prescribed?  It seems that it is available from some on-line shops.

My child had taken oral form B12 for several months without any improvement. He then took B12 injection afterwards. After 1 month B12 injection, my child seems 'smarter' than before. B12 injection may be taken for more than two years. I have struggled for several months about taking B12 injection or not. However, after weighting the cost and benefit of taking the injection, I determine to let my child take it even for more than two years.

For the B-12 injection, I think you need to explain to your son and indicate need injection anyway and give him some 甜頭 after it.

You have to hold your son tight, 要佢"pa"係你大比度, 兩隻手熊抱住佢個身連手, 兩隻腳交差夾住佢對腳 (希望你明我講mug), 我個仔通常就會登"肯"個pat pat反抗, 咁樣打落佢度唔係咁好, 我會拍佢pat pat等佢放鬆番肌肉, 另外會叫佢數10聲打完, 如果頭一兩次你未熟, 不如試下直打先, 等大家都定d, 再試30度啦, 另外你老公捉佢會唔會好力d?

You better give your son the B-12 injection when he's awake. Yu shouldn't have any technical problem of 30 degree injection as his pat pat is so fat.

I suggest you to buy a belly pork for practising before next injection.  My husband did the same when he was learning the acupuncture many years ago.  Remember to do it quick to lessen the pain.

Siu Ming,

PCA-Rx is not available from either Dr. Lam or Dr. Trodd as it doesn't need prescription.  I'm not sure if PCA works as a chelation therapy at this stage.  However, my son has some significant improvement after introducing NG-Rx 2 weeks ago.  Anyway, I'll keep observing my son closely and take another hair and urine tests 1-2 months later.

Yes, I ordered the Childlife Essentials Vit C online. I don't think it's available in HKG. You may ask Dr. Trodd if they have Vit C liquid.

Dr. Lam ask me to make injection on the outer side of his thighs as that is best place to make injection..

Kawai's idea of using pork belly meat for practising is excellent.

As for the Vit B12 injection, I thought it was supposed to go to the subcutaneous layer. Using the thigh, unless your child is very fat, it will likely be injected to the muscles. Mickeyma please confirm with Dr Lam.

But Pat pat has more muscle than thigh? Actually Dr. Lam said the injection must be given to the place without too many nerves...and so on...
Are all of you make the injection to patpat according to Dr. Trodd?
