Yes. The teacher asked the kids to bring back some fruit. My son brought apple, others brought orange, pear and lemon too.
I asked my son what had they done with the fruit, he said they cut and examine it, then ate it.

I didn't ask how the teacher test them the words.
Let me ask again tonight.

I can't see there is 紅筆/綠筆？

BTW, my son need to bring fruit pictures back to school tomorrow. He said there is a competition among different groups see which one has more pictures.

I didn't heard my son told me no need to bring book.  But he told me the auntie in school bus said she is not allowed children to pretend superman otherwise please take taxi to go to school.  Anyone heard about this?

My son also said it doesn't need to bring back books, and I think the homeworks as well, because the homeworks seemed for weekend.

Have you got a piece of paper from the teacher about the fruit stuff? It needs to find pictures of some food make by fruit before 31-Oct.

My son also tell me no need to bring the book but need to bring the cups and candy. I also think the homeworks is for the weekend but I will bring it tomorrow for more safety. I ask my son about to take the fruit to school and he say no need to take any fruit or fruit stuff or anything. It is so interesting for Jackielee 's class. What is your class and who is your teacher? what about yours son to pretend tomorrow?

Hi Jackielee and all mami,

My son also said that today NO need to bring back books/pencils/homework, only cup/plate/candy.  And he said the teacher told them today is purely 'PLAYING' !!     
Then today no English dictation ???  

About the 'fruit' thing. We have no paper described by Jackielee.
But my son said their teachers bring fruit for them (instead of asking kids to bring back the fruit).  So I think contents of all classes are similar but teachers have different ways of teaching.

Yesterday found a marked sheet of 'English Supplementary Exercise' in my son's school bag.  I think it's a kind of surprise test, right?

Hi all mim,
     Today, I take care to school bus and I see so many spiderman, superman, pumpkin and batman. When he go to his seat, the child are so happy and say "Hei" . It seem every child are very happy and lost control .
The other mother tell me that  they are usually very quiet before such as they don't care any kid on the bus or not. It is very good for child has some activitites. I ask my son which school he like ( the old one or now) He say the old one because the school was more activitesy. But I say he had learn more knowledge and word so that he can read the book by himself. He agreed.

Hi Jackielee,

Yesterday my son had his second private Putonghua lesson and this time everything is better.  The teacher now knows his level (which is very low of course) and he knows the teacher better so he was willing to follow the teacher.  

I asked the teacher use the Chinese 'theme' books distributed by schools (now using the third one, right?) and teach my son Putonghua of those Chinese words my son already learnt.  
The teacher also brought some picture cards.

After I back last night, I tested my son and he could read them in quite accurate Putonghua.

Hi Jackielee,

The teacher said at my son's age (4-year), it's not suitable to teach 'pinyin'.  They're still too young to understand.  So she only teaches pronunciations.

It seems that school has not yet issued any notice on 'winter uniform'.  But I heard from the women in the shop selling uniform at Caritas Centre that 'brown shoes' are needed for winter uniform.  She also said many parents complained that it's very difficult to buy 'brown shoes'.
