其實都知道做quant要求讀statistics或數好叻，但實際佢哋係間公司入面係做乜嘅呢？點解會咁高人工？係唔係類似程式交易？

詳細我都不太清楚，只知他們通常都找

大多是由擁有電腦科學、統計、數學，或是物理或電機學位的人擔任所謂的量化研究員(quantitative researcher)、量化開發員(quantitative developer)和量化交易員(quantitative trader)。

Simon 前輩在另一個帖提到畢業後在美國申請工作簽證的準備，我覺得或許對大家有用，所以copy 過嚟這裏。

「⋯因為她申請美國大學花了很多時間,其次是獎學金比較多,她考量到有機會在學校當一個adjunct professor 或clinical professor, 大學及研究所拿到獎學金多少也是其中一個因素影響她會不會拿到教席,她現在有二份履歷表,一份是résumé(用來申請私人或政府作用途,另一份是CV – Curriculum Vitae (用來申請大學教席, 裡面有她的出了多少份研究報告,拿過多少獎學金,拿過多少研究基金,或是有沒有當過teaching assistant、她曾經拿過的獎項、執照等等都會寫上去,比résumé 還要詳細), 儘管妳有提及學生家長可以應付NYU學費, 我仍是強烈建議多申請獎學金,不要錯過任何機會,我可以告訴你,H1B 簽證(即國際學生畢業後想留在美國的工作簽證)非常難拿, 名額也沒有增加,很多國際學生因為這樣留在美國讀博士找教職,因為國際學生在大學教書的H1B簽證沒有名額限制,也許EK家長的子女在未來日子會有機會走這條路,所以最好在大學時期開始建立自己的résumé或CV。」

I think your last sentence maybe incorrect. Most investment decision are made by fund manager not the program.

My son uses the programs to narrow down the pick list according to his assigned parameters. Base on the set up and momentum to invest and exit, also bundle with other derivatives.

其實如果學校本身有醫科，學校的Health Center已經非常足夠，唔需要額外買保險，而且香港買嘅都唔可以做direct payment，同學自己要走reimbursment都比較貴同麻煩
如果要買就直接美國本地買Cigna、Blue Cross、Kaiser呢啲比較多clinic受

新學年開始，和上年相似，除讀書上堂之外，同時參與一個新的research項目，每星期大約花20小時左右, 會利AI NLP的嘅技術。這個項目是私人公司數據和贊助，公司提供數據和平台，時薪大約$25左右。

他幾享受邊讀書同時參與唔同項目的學習模式

A promising student!

我仔在新學年之後辭退咗website 份part time, 專注在「車會」的設計工作。

搬咗出嚟無買meal plan之後，佢就「呻」原來在學校餐廳單點好貴，約$14；好彩搵食路數多的是，有時可在網上找到放售meal plan的同學，$8一個餐，於是解決上學日午餐的安排。

Weekend 另一個活動就係去Costco 購物，曾提醒佢要為冬天貯糧，但佢就當耳邊風。
