請反回正題,題目係講LS同IS嘅分別。
If back to this topic I can do some sharing here. My daughter studied local from P1 to S1 and started Y9 in IS. The whole learning approach is different. She said that in her primary school, teachers were stuffing things into her head (塞嘢入個腦) but in the IS, teachers are teaching how to analyse and understand. It was not easy for her at first because a lot of questions in assignments or tests are open-ended, research and a lot of writing are required. In local schools, everything has standard answers and you just need to follow textbooks and remember. You do not need to find out more by yourself or express your views. (I am not saying which kind is better and it really depends on your child’s personality or strengths sometimes.)
