Sorry for being perhaps a bit off topic- just wondering: if my little one doesn't have Canadian pass ...
According to previous record, there is still have chance even you haven't got a Canadian passport. If you really like this school, why not apply for your little one.

Thanks for the advice! Yes I think I will give it a try while also applying for other schools given the chance is lower for HKSar passport holders. May I know is it the case that the school will assess if the child can speak near to native English during the interview?

What will they test the children in the assessment? Thanks
For pre reception meeting, the process started with parents and kids playing in the playground. Teachers and education assistants (EA) chatted with them, just like 'What is your name' 'What do you like to play?' .......
Then kids were then brought to classroom with one of the parents (not both). Teachers and EA played toys and talked with kids. Again, the conversation was very casual, what are you playing? What is this shape? What color is the triangle? What do you like to play?
After that, the teacher told stories with big books and asked questions about the pictures or the content of the stories.

Does anyone can share about the interview for Grade 1?
Heard that the will have drawing freely, then teacher will ask the kids what do you draw, etc. They also will ask about numbers, like 1,2,3,4,x,6,7......20,21,x,23, what are the missing numbers... this is what I have heard.

We are applying for 2018/2019 pre-reception, do you know if parents should play with our kids during free play and participate when the teacher is asking them questions. Like when teacher asks what color is this, can I repeat with my child or carryon some conversation ?Or it’s better to just sit next to them?

Last year my son went for reception interview. I played with my son during free play (playdoh), when the teacher asked him question, at the beginning he didn't want to answer. Then I guided him a bit.. I think for pre reception they are even younger, abit guidance is ok. good luck!
Anyone has experience with rescheduling interview time? Is it possible to reschedule interview time and whether it will affect the school's consideration upon the child? Many thanks
