Just for discussion.
Base on the statistic those MS provided, I believe most of the MS students only attended DSE with 2 electives.
Base on the minimum requirements to obtained an UGC-degree in recent years: minimum 20 marks for 5 subjects, performance of 3 core subjects of MS students need to take into consideration. Therefore, MS may not have a better % when compare with St Marks because their core subjects are relatively weak.
On the other hand, 4+ performance is only a partial view to justice a the academic performance of a school. It is true that MS students have a better 4+ % when compare with St Marks, but I doubt the % of 5+ will not be the same picture.
I do appreciate the work MS done for the students, it is because the intake of student level (the banding) are relatively weaker when compare with St Marks, but MS can lift up the student to perform good in most of the electives.
If my kid is a B1C student, I will happy to let him goto MS if he/she desire.
