仔仔幸運考上聖保羅書院小學, 今年9月將入讀小一. 我們和聖保羅書院小學一點關係也沒有，不是舊生、也不是基督徒。我估計校長都是按面試表現收生的。面試都是校長一個人自己做，小朋友入校長室，父母坐在校長室外面，校長室的門是打開的，可以清楚看到面試情況。

而面試的問題都是一些很普通的問題（中秋節怎樣過？在學校最喜歡什麽活動。。）不過，校長會要求小朋友看圖說故事或者看圖問圖中的人物，主要考小朋友的專注力、表達能力和自信。整個面試都用廣東話。

I had make a call to 民生, they said 2 yrs 5mths will be accepted applying. that means it is only a noraml
官方說話. at true only accept bigger one???

Hello ! Masaka ,

妳話收2歲5個月是否問 K1? 或是問 P1 ?

以我所知 (或聽聞) 民生及培正收K1喜歡收
大仔 (但無寫明此要求), 當年去in K1時 ,
個個小朋友都非常高大架 !!!! 但收 P1
民生跟政府指定5歲8個月就可以, 而培正
係唯一一間寫明要足6歲才接受申請 !!!

Dear Masaka,

If you don't mind my opinion, I suggest you can explain to your husband that any decision should aim at providing a good path for your child (not just for the convenience of driving, old school, etc.). Your child's future prospect must be your first top priority regardless all the other matters.

Mrssslui, Darrenma,

我仔只在區内一所平民教會幼稚園讀書，不是什麽名牌幼稚園。

我交表格是有附上portfolio，不過學校死都吾收，只在裏面抽起所需文件（covering letter, K2 school report copies, 校内比賽證書）。我沒有外面課外活動的證書，不過知道有這些證書都吾收。

我仔是一個很talkative的人，所以他面試是絕不害羞，自己懂得叫校長和清楚回答校長問題。

Now I am busy to checking  and collecting more information of SFA.
I hope can change his mind.

At the same time, now i train my son.  Since he is a small boy and not a talkive boy. But I not more time to teach him.  My girl baby is so depend on me.  ( she is 19 mths).  Now I feel 有心無力

唔洗驚wor，我阿女都係內向怕羞ga，SFA注重成績多d ga，最緊要佢識做份卷，平時d成績好就得ga la

反而阿女考陳守仁因為注重communication skill所以衰左

唔會. 我唔係好信補習老師. 而家都係我同老公自己同佢"補習", 我同老公一個係文科出身, 一個係理科. 如無意外, 我個仔應該唔洗搵補習老師.

Q2: Will you arrange any kind of courses this year to build up himself first before attending school on next year?
有. 而家多數自己教, 日日同佢中英默書, 讀reader, 教國際音標, 讀唐詩.... 佢o係出面又上緊珠算同小一適應課程.
我覺得o係academic方面事小, 要改變個仔既讀書心態同生活習慣去上小一更加緊要.

May I ask u whether u can a full time mom. Do u think it is hard for the working mom if my son studing in one of this kind of academic school e.g. St.Paul Boys. Because this is the reason why I am still struggle on choosing academic school or the other kind of practical school e.g. Victoria Primary ....

Very apprec ur suggestion. (Due I know u are expert)

我係在職媽媽. 我覺得未必攪唔惦佢功課既.... 但係要做好d planning law. Eg. 從K2就要個仔獨自完成功課, 我放工只係check佢功課, 唔係陪佢做. 平日lunch都要佢電話報告佢家中/學校情況. 一早教識佢查dictionary, 等佢唔洗有籍口話唔識個英文字.... (其實我覺得係要train個仔明白佢讀書唔可以靠父母而係靠自己, 不過我仲try緊!)

不過, 我屋企係有工人打理家務, 所以屋企野可以理小一樣, 只係做supervision.

我d同事有仔女讀DBS/DGS/St. Paul co-edu.. 個個都係咁, 所以得閑搵佢地壯下膽, 收下料學教仔心得law.

Hi Teresa,
Basically,my son can manage to finish his homeworks by himself.After I came back after I finished work(Due I am a flying mom, usually I have to fly away home for few days.), I just have to chk his homework or solve out any chinese homework problem with him(which my helper cannot manage to deal wz his chinese homework).
I am really agree what u said, but I am still struggling....Ha Ha..But anyway, I am very apprec what's ur suggestions before. Keep in touch...
