My younger daughter is a 港青 in badminton. Thanks for your sharing about yours and your daughter's struggle, which pretty unique in HK, and most parents only focus on study alone, including me. I will consider your daughter just like a kid taking a part time job and continue studying, strong stamina and determination.
In my son's schools have many this type of examples, some students struggle between study and sports, so some of them, their public exam results are not flying color. Most outsiders just blamed the school utilized those kids for award winners only, but the boys may love to excel in sports instead of study.
Can her school and the HKSI / HKBA support her study in parallel of her badminton career? Like sponsored tutoring, special breaks for exam or tests.....
Having said that, if she is really good in Badminton, she can check which University is very good in Badminton, they are more than happy to take her with much lower admission grades through sports stream. I am not very sure for Big 3. You can see most universities take the average of admission grades by excluding sports and principal nomination streams, she can take advantage of this arrangement.
Good luck.
