我想請教大家，我從佢BB開始已開始讀書比佢聽，有教佢中文字，英文無，只岩岩教phonic ,依家就4歳，但都只係聽，可以聽好耐或自己睇圖。其實我5急，只係見大家d小朋友好叻，想參考下，因為我係想順其自然，但又怕我方法錯，麻煩大家分享下或比d意見，謝謝。

又講下近來女女睇緊咩書先. 佢近來睇書量同速度都大增. 今朝因為我唔俾佢帶書係校車睇又喊又剩

我發現我女喜歡既題材都係圍繞仙女同魔法.
佢非常喜歡" Fairy House", "Magic Ballerina ", " Oliver Moon".
"Magic Ballerina "佢仲話非常好睇. (可能因為佢好恨學芭蕾舞, 呢本書滿足到佢對芭蕾舞既憧憬)
佢已經掃左50本以上既Rainbow magic, 但仍樂此不疲...

另外佢都喜歡上Magic tree house, 自從Magic Tree house 擁有人Morgan 出現之後, 佢越來越有興趣.仲要求我快d去圖書館借之後既集數. 應該都係因為被"魔法"劇情吸引.

見佢前排攞左本Harry potter book2睇到津津有味 (我家奇怪地只有本book 2, 不知是誰俾的), 我的起心肝買左成套, 不過d字好細粒, 佢掃左book 1 and 2 就收工了. 我估佢都唔太明, 不過因為睇左DVD 所以有興趣睇下.請問咩版本d字會大隻d?

氹極阿仔都無興趣睇Kindle books。雖然Kindle可選字體大小及發聲，佢仍然堅持用實體書。無計!

我地都堅持咗好耐，先過渡到 Kindle。話比佢聽字體細易近視，同埋如果果套書有 Kindle 版，我只會出錢買 Kindle version，實體書請自己俾錢。我個仔好孤寒，一聽到要自己買書同配眼鏡，好似割佢舊肉咁！

We only use Kindle when on vacation. The one benefit we find is that kids are often scared by the size of the font and with Kindle, they can change it to larger and it takes away their fear of reading books that they think are too tough for them.

係呀！阿仔細個見到本書多過一百頁就會走，我都係用 kindle version 嚟呃佢，睇完至話佢聽原書厚1xx 頁，試得幾次又過咗個心理關口。

My girl is the opposite, she prefers holding on to physical books if there is a choice an she is not afraid if the size. Only when there is only kindle version would he read with kindle. I have am trying to cut down the spreader space required for books so kindle version is my default version.

Well I guess my girl is a little bigger than your children.

The more bizzare a thing is, the less mysterious it proves to be.

星期日借左本Enid Blyton 既短篇故事合集俾女睇, 佢初時因為本書有d厚同表面殘殘舊舊就放埋一邊, 我之後讀左幾句引佢, 佢就上釣.....一睇睇到停唔到.
呵呵, 成功啦, 希望慢慢可以引佢睇更多Enid Blyton既作品.

Wow, 4 series at the same time? How many "books-started-and-still-in-progress" do you allow? I usually just limit to 3 since otherwise, they tend to start a lot of books and never quite finish them. Or they put it away for a couple weeks and then have to start from the beginning again.

Funny, my girl never have this multiple-book-started problem. Once started, she would not stop until a book is finished, regardless of the size of the book.

This is actually an administrative problem. He was looking for new Eng stories in the library while I was looking for some slightly more difficult Chinese stories in the bookshop so we brought home 4 book ones of 4 different series to try. Turned out all were okay so he just kept on reading whichever one is available.
I think this is common with kids who are borrowing books from the library? It's difficult if not impossible to have all the books in time, so they are actually quite used to this pattern of reading. I will buy the Kindle versions for them once they've tried and confirmed what they like but once started, they can't resist it and will continue to read a bit here and a bit there.
