My kid is in K2... Before CCKG, we bought off-the shelve chinese exercises but my kid did not interest...

Both of us need to work, and we teach our kid at night. Our maid helps regarding those items in English

What kind of Math ? 珠心算?
學林, 奧數 and MT should be for primary only.

Do you arrange activities from Mon to Fri for your kid?

Surprise! No phonics class!
As I know, children graduated in CCKG have very good Eng. If there isn't any phonics class, how can the children prounce accurately and spell easily?

Seems to me that learning phonics is not a must for good English. While lots of kindies offer phonics lessons (e.g. Letterland & Jollyphonics), many others don't (e.g. ESF) and children of these schools are also able to speak good English. In our time, some twenty or thirty years back, we never learnt phonics and when we see some words that we've never seen before, we're still able to pronounce or spell them.

I don't really know how the children learn English. But they have good reading skills. I know some children are reading Harry Porter, Magic Tree House and Oxford Story Tree Level 6 (including the workbooks).

1.Is the teaching method in CCKG traditional or
activity?
2.Do the children always enjoy lessons?
3.Is there any outing or picnic?
4.Is the homework much?
5.Can the parent participate in school activities?
6.Are the teachers easily approached?
7.Is the tea self-prepared?

Dear lamlama,

1. I think is in the middle between traditional and activity. They have a lot of paper work to do in class (for upper), but still have a lot of activities to do e.g. making sandwiches, Lion dance during Chinese New year.
2. Yes.
3. Yes, once per month. For upper class, they will even have horse-riding.
4. Not heavy, only one page of Chinese per day; for upper class, 2 pages of hand-writing per week.
5. Not much. Upper class parents can join some church services.
6. It depends on individual teacher. But anyway you can meet them everyday at the school gate.
7. Yes.
