Thanks for all the caring. I will also discuss the issue with my girl before making any decision. She will turn 6 two weeks later, and I'm sure she is mature to discuss this issue (change the school if there is a chance).

Oh, then your daughter was a super small girl last year. She was very smart to get accepted by APS!

I think her chance for DG this year is very high!

She is really small girl, as I said, she is just bit bigger than a 2006 big kid.
She is so smart to get into APS. I heard that APS is a very caring school that the kids may not wish to change school as they realy love APS.

APS is also my top favor ( actually before the interviews by Oct, I have never ever thought of DGJS, just went as most of the parent did, and my ultimate favor for long is APS !). In case no offer from DGJS , I hope I can follow your path, take APS happily and may be a trial again by next year !

You really encourage me, being a small girl but entering APS successfully and happily !

YLMom, thanks for the praises and the blessings. Yes, she is a super small girl last year. It's very lucky that she got accepted by APS and another school. Due to the reasons that she is 慢熱 and a small girl, I decide to give her one more chance this year to test her ability. I'm already very satisfied with her performance this year.

I like APS a lot too. The teachers are really caring. The pressure is not that huge as the rumors said from my personal experience. Moreover, the parents in my girl's class are very active too. They'd like to share the experience online. It really helps me a lot during the very beginning of the p1 school term as my girl is still picking up the school pace.

Btw, I'm sure that ur girl is very smart too. Otherwise how can she be accepted by SFA? Btw, I trust that the st. Cat girls are well nurtured in the last 3 years, right? Mine is also a st. Cat girl!

Anyway, wish that ur little one can also enter ur dream school.

DGJS魔力真大。其實無論大或超細B，我寧願順著成長時間順住去。我當年都係超細B，我都一樣可以成功。一様可以考進名校。
現在我發覺身邊的朋友都很想入女拔，有些細到剛剛出世。問我有乜方法（我個女都未入，問我都冇用）
但我從我的個人出發點看，正如我爸爸教我一樣，身教是很重要的。
有時名校為何偏向選取有專業背景的家長，身教便是其一。
坦白講，21號對我來說和現在一樣，我只能接受必然失敗，只是預計到或是書面通知。
所以希望各位家長，就算失敗了也不需要失望，未來還有很長的路要走。
今天我想起爸爸對我的身教，究竟我又能做到幾多在自己女兒身上呢？
比起女拔，我們更要做更多的事情啊

Khashley, I totally agree that we should nurture the child according to their ability and their own pace, and never 拔苗助長。this is also the reason why I think of letting my child to repeat p1. Academically, she is totally fine. She hasn't had additional tutorials after school class. However, her social ability is a bit lagged behind. As I believe that all round development and building up confidence are very important at her age, i'd rather spend a year to repeat in order to achieve my goals.

Ur saying "management by example" is totally agreed. I'm also having a lot to learn from the parents here. Hope that we can share experience and give supports to each other here to pave the most beautiful way for our children!

Hi Unclegrand, KTS 要14／12才公佈。如果DGJS收，就一定試左DGJS先，因為實在太難考。同埋好想係DG學好英文。

Dear 'good and lovely' parents here, I would like to show my appreciation for your open sharing here!

Actually, we didn't let our girl to attend more interviews after DGJS's second interviews. So, we won't need to wait for APS, CKY etc school results. Good luck to all of you!!

補充一下 :

The offering letter was together with a reply slip. This reply slip has 2 options for either accepted or rejected the offer. Then simply return the reply slip together with a cheque of $1,000 by registered mail to the school, before the due date for formal registration. NO need to go to the school in person.

By the way, for all parents, let's think positive that if got accepted by DGJS, it is really a bonus or gift for you rather than you lose your life or everything if fail.

Agreed and that's what we always try to do. Not only academically but also a lot of others!
That's why family education is equally important than schools, if not more.

Minikoala, I'm not trying to discourage you but I think if you want to build up the confidence of your girl in DGJS, it is really really tough and hard. Unless your girl is really best of best, top of top and talnented, otherwise, it's really hard to get recognized from school achievements. Not to say the schoold result, the top graded kids difference is counted down to little decimal place. Take a look at the result of recent recitation competition, DGJS girls have 1st, 2nd or 3rd places in almost all games. This year's Bible recitation competition, DGJS girls won all the top 1st place from P1-P6. There are so many talnented girls in the school in different areas and parents are so committed in educating their girls. The school itself actually not that treasure their pupils winning any prize simply because it is too many. So if you want to build up the confidence of your kid in school, you may just have the adverse result. Instead, I know cases that well performed student in a normal school is actually quite valuable to the school, and school keep offering the student different tasks and responsibilities. Confident is being build over those experience. Building confidence is really not an easy task in DGS/DGJS.

我諗我明EEMUM既意思,響DG,根本大把人經常攞獎,除非係非常非常突出既,例如好大型比賽既冠軍,咁就或者會受到學校重視同埋自己先會覺得真係與別不同.於是就算平時一兩個普通校際朗誦個人賽,攞到個冠軍都仍然唔係乜野大不了.
但係響其他學校,攞左個冠軍返來,個感覺就唔一樣啦,因為全校都唔係好多人有呢個冠軍之麻.
