Just can't help it but need to leave a message. You still cannot decide? haha, omg! Better do it soon as the whole family need to know which kindergarten to attend and make adjustment soon (e.g. re-location)
According to what I have heard from you, and as you still cannot make a decision. I will have to say may be you should choose GH. I agree with the other parents preference but apparently you care about something else which GH should be able to offer.
Here's my reasoning to share to you. SHCK is a kindergarten not stressing on curriculum alone. The main key in their kindergarten is moral education. So, if the parents really concern moral education, it should take no time and can quickly decide this is the right kindergarten. I am serious about it. Moreover, it is not a DSS/Private school system where school management control the admission policy internally. So, if you really concern the importance of being able to stay in same school system for 15 years, the ranking should be GH then St. Clare's then SH.
For GH, they make their own decision to admit for primary and secondary so as long as you can follow their requirement and expectation, then you are good to stay, without the need to bother with EDB policy changes.
For St. Clare's, there will be enough seats for certain to reach their secondary schools as long as the students keep band 2 level. For example in this year''s placement, there are not even enough band 1 & 2 students to fill all their reserved seats for own primary students (reserved 70 but only 65 return, and with other going to other band2/3 schools, that means the other must be band 3 and allocate elsewhere).
For SH, yes, there are way more band 1 & 2 students than SHCC can take. So, if it is so important to go to same secondary school, then no one can guarantee you unless your daughter can maintain band 1. But it is not a harsh requirement if you know majority of SHCSPS girls are band 1 anyway. As I explained to you earlier, if the students really are band 3, let them stay in a band 1 school will not be a pleasant experience.
Finally, hope you can decide soon and release the other seats soon.
Anyway, I wish you and your daughter all the best!
Ian
