阿仔未練前，我問過琴行老板娘，佢建議6歲。

阿仔四歲半學，初初一個月好麻煩，但漸漸都覺有進步。

suzuki violin其實唔係唔駛睇譜,係要睇譜,不過係睇手指位,我仔用緊suzuki,但我有教佢睇譜,到幾時要睇譜就唔知囉

Hi 各位,

My daughter has been learning violin for 1.5 years, but since the 1st teacher was not good, she wasted one year time.

My daughter is now P2, she joined her school's orchestra since last summer holiday and changed a violin teacher since Sept 09.  I found she has quite big improvement.

I have learnt a lot of knowledge in this topic, really tks for all expert parents here!!

I want to ask some questions about Yip's.  I know the violin courses at Yip's are group lesson, is it enough for only join the group lesson??

I think the private lesson fm Yip's teacher should be quite expensive, if it is possible to use her existing violin teacher for private lesson beside Yip's??

Finally, 請問有無"涯上的波兒"的琴譜可給我嗎? Tks.

I'm not sure about whether Yip's would allow their students taking private lessons from other teachers. I just know some of the students will hire young violin tutors from outside as 陪練. but they take private lessons with Yip's teacher at the same time.

I think different teachers may have different policy. So it's better to ask the center staff.

如果對孩子有要求,而又能找到一位心儀的"好"老師,四歲多也不算太早,如若沒太大的要求,六七歲也絕不太遲。

it's nice to hear your experience with suzuki - when did your daughter start? they told me 3 for girls, 4 for boys...

Suzuki violin is a very good method for young kids.
For violin - playing well is much more difficult than reading scores. Its ok to catch up later.

EG, I taught my daughter sight reading for G1 in ...

有幾難...........好難(相對而言,報考人多而位少)
Piano只有Pre-Junior和Junior,Junior超難(位少),Pre-Junior位多D,不過一樣好難。Violin多D選擇,不過一樣人多。2-3級只是基本要求而己,超班幾乎可以肯定,除非孩子有特別的天份! apply beginner course 符合條件當然可以。
3月14日 Open Day不妨抽時間去看看和問問。

There's a girl in my daughter's violin class. She was in APA pre junior previously. Her mom told me she got in APA when she learnt violin for a only few months!(but she's really talented).
She quited APA because her mom thought the teacher assigned to her daughter is not good enough(She didn't tell me who is the teacher).

I think the problem is you cannot choose teacher in APA.(But most of them are very very good teachers)

早幾年pre-junior 會較容易, 因為有足夠的師資, 而家好多junior的學生都係從pre-junior 一路升上黎, 而且跟到好老師果班都唔會轉老師, 盡量跟番pre-junior個老師, 所以而家既情況就係以前有教開pre-junior既老師因為繼續要教pre-junior上黎班學生, 可以再收pre-junior學生既時間都少左. 基本上呢兩年都差唔多有招生(pre-junior)無收生, 除非真係好突出
