Most of the established schools 'value' their alumni - for their understanding and support of the school philosophy, not to mention their possible contribution to the school's development. These include SPCC, St Paul's Boys, DBS, DGS.
As to why there are still cases of failure to enroll their kids to their alma mater, there are simply too many 'alumni' applications in a year (esp so for co-ed schools).
Back to the case of YWC, there aren't too many alumni applications a year. True that there are unsuccessful cases, which, in comparison, is rather 'rare'. Perhaps you could ask the Headmistress about the number of alumni applications (and failure cases) and you can do the calculation yourself. |
