好似話因為學費 over 左佢既 budget, 所以忍痛放棄。

所以我講, 係今年開始有部份科目專科專教囉, 這位老師今年只係教中文咋. 你可能誤會左啦....

I have attended the briefing sessions of both schools this year.

For me, I prefer St. Margaret more because I admire the quadrilingual learning environment and the through-train mind.

The school campus of G.T. college is really larger, but the lower forms pupils need to go to the school in Mongkok. I just don't know why they carry out the briefing session in G.T. college instead of the Mongkok campus.

It's just my personal opinion. Please forgive me for making any mistakes, if any.

The presentation of SMC is good and the language evironment is very attractive too but the interview process give me negative impression.

Firstly, there was no clear procedure or instruction for the interview flow. The staff just issue and gather the questionaire, then gather the children to taket the lift upstairs.

Secondly, they don't show concern on the children. I saw a kid was afraid and cried when he need to left his father to attend the interview, his father didn't know how to do but nobody help them. The staff continued to take all other children into the lift and I didn't see any other staff take follow up action.
After waiting for 30 min, only 2 of the kids 'early' finished the interview. They seems not happy and I think they knew they were not qualified. After 30 min more, a staff took the rest of the children back to us but she went back to the office immediately without saying a word. Nobody told us the interview was finished and when will we get the result.
I have attended interview of so many schools but most of them have better arrangement, at least take care of the 'crying' kids.

GT give me good impression. The headmaster Mr. Chan played with the kids during interview. My kid told me that she likes this school very much.

I feel warm at GT, so I choose GT.

你地份視學報告係幾年前寫既喎, 寫明non-subject trained; 你話今年中文開始專科專教, 即係話過去幾年都唔係喇; 只係部份科目專科專教, 其他科目又係唔係呢? 咁出年中文又會唔會專科專教呢?

唔好意思, 問係咁多問題, 我只係想知道貴校既專科專教政策姐。

SMC總算有"呀"遮頭,男拔同St Francis仲差, 要家長及小朋友在烈日當空暴曬....我見到有小朋友喊, 男拔老師都唔理, 只有些"義工小朋友"叫家長攪番好佢情緒再入去.

Interested parties always learn and understand the school through more constructive means.

The accelerating popularity of the school has revealed in the increasing number of applicants year by year.  Heard from other parents that last year's P6 TSA results was very promising (students are now in S1), showing the efforts put by the school in past years.  This may be why there is a tremedous increase in the number of applications this year (50%+).  Hence, the administration office is overloaded and longer process time is understandable.

Human beings sometimes are quite contradictory.  They may change 180 degree on something when the outcome is not in their favor.

I am very glad to join the SMC family, to know you, G-ma, Yoyocheungma and others...  You all are very helful.  We all know SMC is not a prestigious elite school or the best school in HK but we are well aware of its distinguished advantages and the school has shown to us it is our cup of tea.

After thoughtful considerations among two schools, I prefer to choose SMC for my daughter.

My daughter has interviewed for 6 schools. I'm fine with SMC's arrangement! My impression for SMC is that the school takes a much longer interview periods (from late Aug to late Oct) and spend so many human resource dealing with the selection process (1 hour group assessment in the 1st interview and individual 2nd interview with vice-principal) because the school really want to find some kids who are suitable for the school. They are more serious in the selection process as compared to other schools (ie use only 10-20 minutes to access and then have final result). For my case, we got fast response from the school. Maybe it is due to my early application in late Aug, that's why many SMC parents reminded us - earlier is better...... Maybe the number of applications is surging during Sept and Oct (I don't know the exact no of applications?) and the administrative office is really overload.....

Anyway, hope those really like SMC can join the big family in the coming year!

應該係永久, 記得幾年前旺角校舍係要殺校的, 後來優才與志潔合併. 才有這間校舍, 但志潔祗有12個課室及音樂室, 優才還要加建才有現在規模.

I partially agree with you that there may need some improvements during the procedure for interviews. However, not all the schools can handle the crying children well (I saw a girl cried during the 1st interview in DGJS also and the staff had the similar actions).

Therefore, we shouldn't give the children too much pressure before interview.
