1. K1 是冇功課的, 但校內校外都有很多活動; 如果您參加所有, 都好忙 ga;

Yes ar I really appreciate what the teachers have done like posted class work on Intranet, etc.  All these are very convenient for me, a working mom but very like to share with my boy his school life.

My boy is also very happy at school and he always sings the school song at home (not all words but the lyric of the whole song).  It is also amazing that he initiated to say a pray before eating last Sun. and could speak the words like 'Thanks god, give me water and bread....'.  Being a mother I am so happy to witness his growing and obviously he's very enjoying what he's learnt at school.

靈糧堂真係節目豐富。我和老公都開始覺得手忙腳亂了。

剛收到「林慕德聽歌學英文」的通告，相信不是native speakers 教。想請問這個course好不好呢？有經驗的家長可否比點意見？謝謝！

唔好意思.我想問下.如果3年都無考試到左小學既時候.佢地既壓力會唔會太大呢.同埋有無係鑽石山讀緊既家長可以話我知.學校通常會派咩小學呢?thank　ｙｏｕ

女兒 K1 上過此課程, 剛開始的學習效果不明顯, 有家長向林慕德反應了一些問題, 林慕德解釋由於靈糧是第一間讓他開課程的學校, 有些地方正不斷做出改善及調整.
此課程主要用唱歌來學拼音, 因此雖然是小小學生也較易接受, 我也是見女兒喜歡, 所以讓她上了一學年. 但新學年剛開始時, 學校不知為何沒再安排這個興趣班, 致電學校, 學校方面初時回答我不會再另做安排, 我因不想女兒學習拼音半途中斷, 所以就在外另選了一個拼音課程給女兒...
我的感覺是--- K1 讓小朋友學拼音, 如依一般拼音課程的學習方式, 的確是比較悶, 林慕德用唱歌形式來學是有他的道理, 但如要學的好, 家長需花一點時間及用點方法和子女一起練習.
女兒之前學習時, 由於她年紀尚小, 加上剛入學, 我自己也十分手忙腳亂, 所以並沒有和她練習, 只當讓她去 "玩', 因此無法令她做到自行看些簡單的 "字" 便可發音, 更遑論是自己讀英文 "小書", 現在 K2 了(真的好像一下子在各方面都 "長大" 了許多), 加上我自己也比較 "適應" 了, 有時可以和她一起玩拼音遊戲, 就發現她開始可自己讀一些簡單的英文字了

想問如果在"林慕德"個度學, 會唔會跟學校既拼音課程混淆? 好似學校都有拼音學, 是否用既方法同"林慕德"差唔多?

現在官津小學的派位方式完全靠計分及運氣, 和讀那間幼稚園並沒有直接的關係, 而鑽石山靈糧的畢業生報考直資或私小的 "成績" 以我所知是理想
選擇靈糧的家長, 替子女報讀小一時, 一般不喜歡太傳統、太填鴨的學校, 我個人則是覺得適當的背誦要求及書寫練習有其需要, 但可用不同的方法達致, 最重要的是保持小朋友的學習興趣及養成主動求知、思考的習慣. 靈糧雖然以活動教學知名, 也沒有考試, 但不表示學的東西少, 有次聽趙榮德先生主講一個關於小一入學適應的題目, 也有家長詢問類似你的問題, 他答道 "一間好的活動教學學校能安排他的畢業生銜接不同類型的小學", 我有同感, 但很難三言兩語解釋為什麼
只能說, 小朋友的學習非只依賴學校, 父母的角色一樣重要, 只有透過學校和家長之間不斷的互動, 才能為子女日後的學習路途奠立好的開始

我也曾擔心過... 因 "林慕德" 教授的某些字母的發音和其他 Phonics 班略有不同, 但只有少數, 所以我想還好吧
學校的 Phonics 我尚不知如何教 (之前沒有 Phonics 課), 只從暑期派回的 VCD 中, 聽到任教於香港靈糧的英文老師唱過一次, 有沒有其他的家長意見可分享呢?

謝謝你的回應。對於學Phonics我尚未知該如何處理，所以"林慕德" 的課程我暫沒有報名。好希望其他家長多給意見，有關Letterland, Jolly Phonics 等等。。。

我理解Phonics是甚長遠的學習，好似學晒要花幾年。朋友兒子在國際學校唸初小，最近開始教phonics，課程一直維持三年，要學生學到識為止。

上星期六與囝囝上第一課 “林慕德” 拼音斑, 印象頗差: 可能因為是第一堂, 覺得他們安排混亂, 由兩位non-native 年輕老師教, 一開始便對k1學生講上課三大規矩, (我個人認為只要你能吸引小童的興趣,他們自然會留心.) 又用了15分鐘認識各人的名字;另一位負責人則常進出課室, 頗為disturbing.希望下堂會有改善.  

銅鑼灣的letterland 是可以試上一堂的, 但家長不能觀課, 所以唔清楚好唔好, 我囝囝只上了一次, 我打算等他到四歲才正式上, 因四歲班會由native 教. 有興趣可以去他們的網站看看: www.letter-land.com

謝謝你的分享！我正想物識由native speekers教的Phonics班。不過，心目中都不是立即上課。

昨日學校派左Phonics for Kids書及CD。原來學校課程都有cover。

Just wish to share some experience / views on English learning -  

Yesterday knew that phonics would also be taught at school after rec'd the book and CDs.  It's good!  Then no need to find another extra-curriculum class on this.  

I personally feel that, to small children at K1 grade, the phonics taught by school is already sufficient.  The classes would give them a basic concept on this.  

I learnt phonics at primary school and I remember that I need to spend quite a lot of time to memorize the sounds of those vowels and consonants, etc.  Thus, I will not expect my son, a 3+ yrs old boy can sit there and memorize all those sounds.  It's not a reasonable request and unnecessary as well.      

And I also consider that the most effective way to learn English is to create a natural and relaxing 'English talking' environment in daily life.  Children would feel that it is very natural to talk in English, or even think in English, just like talk in Cantonese, etc.  But not to ask them to 'learn' it at a classroom environment.  

So I only choose a playgroup led by a native speaker for my son, to make him feel that there are many different people in this world, speak in different languages.  It's life, to speak in both English and Cantonese, not 'learning'.  

I insist on my above 'theory' for the past 3+ years, sometimes I though that I was doing experiment on my son (haha ^v^). My son can talk to foreigners in English very naturally now, just like speaking in Cantonese.  Therefore, I would only worry that later on when he found that English is a second language and should be learnt, he would lose interests in it and finally lose his natural ability of using it !!

非常同意！I think the phonics kit the school now provide is sufficient for the K1 kids.    I believe phonics will continued to be taught in nowadays Primary schools.  So no hurry.  We just need to continue providing them English speaking environment such as the English playgroups.
I am sure your experiment will work well. hehe..  
(BTW, by broswing over www.letter-land.com, I noted that it is in fact offering Playgroup service, not letterland phonics.)

我有去學校的番禺旅行。但是我們之前已經去過了，所以不覺特別。我們只希望囡囡有同學仔一起生活的機會。一行六百人，陣容龐大，而且中旅安排得十分好，可謂盡心盡力。

但是同學仔媽咪之前未去過長隆，今次旅行令佢好impressed。我們最大的收穫，就是我倆的孩子成了好朋友。
