is very good news to hear that we have a sept 2003 girl who is granted 2nd interview as my girl is a "small" girl also was born in Sept 2003.

but we still haven't heard from the school so likely may have failed.

i heard that Headmistress Lee likes kids whose moms are housewives. is it true? may I ask some of the lucky moms here whose kids are granted 2nd interview... are you full time mom?

Maybe they do not queue by the first interview date. Maybe they queue by the performance in the first interview. Maybe your child just queue a little back than my girl......

thank you.. congrats to you too.. wish you good luck on 2nd interview.

we have the interview during pm on first day and we are BR. although disappointed, i have faith in god and trust him leading her to a school that suits her best.

It really depends on whether your kid have difficulties in managing K3 or not. If he/she can deal with it no problem, then maybe going to P1 for one year is better. The kid can learn some new things. If he / she repeats K3, it might be too boring for him /her. But if the kid already finds K3 diffiuclt, then should repeat. However some teachers suggested not to repeat in the same kindergarten, cuz all his / her friends would have graduated and might have an emotional impact on the kid.

thanks for answering my question... is good to know that headmistress Lee does not discriminate kids with full time working moms...

although we are unlikely to be on the list for 2nd interview, i do sincerely hope you all best of luck on 2nd interview.

Most top schools do prefer full time mother because they like mothers to participate more in school activities.
Many SPCC mothers help out in many different roles such as being reading mums, librarians, helpers in school outings...etc.
A working mum would find it difficult to devote as much time to the school.
Don't get me wrong (it is not a must!), there are also many working mums among the SPCC parents.

好開心喺度見到咁多小朋友入到2nd in! 好替每位家長高興...

我已經喺機場等緊上機, 好想快啲返到屋企... 可惜快極都要四粒鐘...

anyway, 聽朝一早就帶囡囡去interview喇! 心情又緊張又興奮!

Congratulations to all parents and kids who have rec'd the call for 2nd interview!

After reading the comment from some of you, I knew that my daughter is not able to enter 2nd in now as her interview date was on Oct 13.

We just declined the offer from HKUGA and now waiting for the result from CCC.Kei Wan Primary school as father is the alumni. Nevertheless, still got a bad feeling but I knew that she has tried her best and we are proud of her. She gained something through the whole process and we did as well.

Thank you civic for the great support! I appreciated very much! You are right, we still have a long way to go. I never imagined the impact is so strong when it comes to my turn even I read all the parents's update here for both the good and bad news.

I think it's good that I anticipated the outcome so I won't be too upset when I received the reject letter physically later on.

p.s. 其實一直有個疑問, 人人都話st paul co ed好好, 最好其實係咩呢? 我試過問幾個人, 有咩好, 好似大家都講得比較膚淺, 例如話識某某人讀spcc點好點好... 但係, 師資, 課程等方面, 實際上有咩過人之處呢?
(我對spcc的認識不深, 想知多一點點)

SPCC 是一間中文小學, 所以學生的中文不會差, 我知道小一時會有一個班主任及一個說流利普通的老師負責, 每天聽老師說普通話多了, 兒子在家裡說普通話也多了, 也流利了. 英文方面, 已開始教他們英文文法, 也是不錯的. 至於數學方面, 兒子和我也覺太淺, 因兒子計數好叻. 不過, 相信學校是要慢慢由淺入深. 所以, 我係會自己教他數.

It is very difficult to give you an exact answer, as you child studies in one school only. However, comparitively, I would say :

- excellecnt network building
- good exposure similar to those international school like Yew Chung, CIS. All students will go outward bound in G5 and oversea visit in G6. Of course in secondary school, you have field trip nearly every year. All student will go to Queensland U in F.3 for 4 weeks starting from 2010.
- excellent development in music training
- good in Chinese studies
- high teacher-to- student ratio
- emphasis on moral education.

My opinion only.
