my son will attend k1 in st.johannes next week, when i went to register on 1 aug i asked the teacher about the $10000 gov voucher, they said they don't accept the voucher. I was very surprised because when i called the school on April, they said their school will accept the voucher so i already applied the voucher, however they said because the gov will only consider to accept the voucher if the kindergarten mainly use chinese to teach the students and use the chinese books, since sjc is an english kindergarten and most of the books are in english so the gov reject their application, but i really don't know the gov has this regulation, any ma ma has the same experience or any idea, thanks...

you look so disappointed about that!~ right?
i think this situation really want to help some parents , pay less school fee, if the parents prefer the international kinder or private kinder, as the school fee over $25000/year . it means higher class kinder ( just i mention) , their parents could afford ,else under $25000/year , it means normal class kinder, they can get the $10000 voucher!~

at the very beinging the gov only offer the $10000 voucher to the non-profit kinder, however a lot of parents said it is not fair to the children who study in the private school, actually there are quite a lot of private kinders school fees are under $24000 per year, even the one i mentioned it was also under $48000 per year(they raised up the school fee this year), so that was the reason why i called the school before i applied, so really felt surprised about this...
