Actually, I'm also considering upgrade "Step by Step" or not ? Since I bought the Mickey set on Aug 2006 and HK$9,800.00 to upgrade the same contents ..... just only change to DVD .....seems too expensive. Further to Geoffreymom's comments. I've decided not to upgrade. My boy is now 3 years old. I'm the only one to communicate with him in English at home and I also spend approx. one hour to play or use some of the other materials with him by using English, such as read some other English book or other CD or VCD. To be honest, I'm very satisfy with his English, he knows a lot of English words and pronounce them correctly, he also can speak some of the English Sentence correctly. Moreover, I let him to watch "Disney playhouse channel's cartoon" in English only. Obviously, he can learn a lot of English from different channel. Of course, DWE main programe also one of the channel for him to improve his English. So I also think that if you can spend some more time with your children, it's better save 10K ..... as "Step by Step" are the same contents only.....seems not so worth.

If your answer is “Yes” for (1) and (2), you better save the 10K for other activities. If “No”, I dont think you kids can benefit from the extra 10K you spent. Also, it is definite harmful for small kids to watch long hours of TV. |
