Re: 請問喇沙小學/中學是否要有錢人才適合讀呢?

As regards LSC, she used to admit quite a number of students from Wah Tak School students of which came mostly from the public housing in WTS district. I don't know whether the change in school net has affected this.
Since you use the abbreviation of "LSC", I believe you are referring to La Salle College which is the secondary school.
From my limited knowledge, the Rules of Game for gaining entry to secondary school are entirely different from that of the primary. Academic performance of the student (in addition to other extra curriculum activities) in his/her P.5 and the 1st term of P.6 is a key determining factor for getting admission to those popular secondary schools, whilst the school net and the address of the applicants play no significant role during the process.
Notwithstanding the aforesaid, there might, no doubt, have some exceptional cases in a given popular school that the background of the student can be decisive - just for instances, if the applicant is the grandson of tycoon Lee, it is unable nor is there any reason for me to reject his/her application if I was the principal! I regret that it is the case but this is a hard fact which is the same everywhere in this little planet, whether you like it or not, as Charlotte_mom had once rightly pointed out.
Any change in the Rules of Game (regretfully that my knowledge in this respect needs to be updated almost every year ) will certainly have impact on the percentage of entry to LSC by students of Wah Tak School. It is simple because when there is increased choice for the students/parents, there are simultaneously increased students available for selection by the secondary school.
