The Heatmistress will not ask any questions to the parents and the parents will only need to wait and listen just outside the interview's room which are very close to the place you waiting for. Certainly, everyone will say that it will be better if dad and mom can go together, however, as I know that some of the kids last year been accepted, some of their dads were not free to got there for interview. So, what my point of view, they will definitely only interview for the ability of the boys even though we attended the interview together with my husband last year. ''No English'' all in Cantonese... Good Luck to you all..

Thank you , Lilian. One of the DDS, my husband did not show up, so only get waiting list. So I am very concern about it.

Hello. No, no talking with adults at all... The situation is like this: we were waiting in one room and one teacher came and asked us to come out. Then that teacher first asked us to sit down on a sofa, and next took the kid into the principal's room.

The whole conversation between the principal and the kid was in Cantonese.

Waiting list...! Which DDS is it, you don't want to disclose? Your son has so many talents, maybe the school already knew that you won't take their offer...

She probably won't. But if the kid is not confident enough, he may look towards his mother/father when answering questions.

oic, I hope they cannot see me during interview. Coz all boys will not concentrate the question if they know their parents who are watching them.....

I also worry my son will be distracted by us.
If the heatmistress asks some questions that he cannot answer or takes time to think, he must search for us to help.

Come on.... he's just a kid... and he's facing a stranger in some strange environment... I believe that this principal (a principal of a boys' school bor...) will understand and this is also very common that kids play with fingers and swing legs when they are put in an environment like this.

As long as he doesn't cry and is willing to answer/ try to answer all the questions, he's already good and should be rewarded. *kiss kiss*

Moms...boys are less mature than girls ma, and look at their daddies! Many daddies "un" legs when sitting lah... ha ha ha...

Actually, if you think that your son will be more confortable if you were not around, then just take a seat somewhere away him then. It will be helped as I got a friend last year. When her son got the questions been stucked, he looked back to mommy immediately which showing the kids are not confident enough then. If mommy not around, the boy may think by himself without any help and without parent's pressure. (e.g. when they were studing in school, if any problem, they will try their best to solve out when parents not around, but at home, they will usually approach to daddy, mommy help first before thinking. right?) So, just depends on how's the boys usually solving out the problem as usual. By the way, good luck to you all...

I really don't know... what's the purpose that the principal put us there - facing the principal's room. I think the principal may want to see us but she let us sit far away so that we can't help the kid to answer the questions, but it's really like everyone ie the adult(s) and the kid are participanting in the interview. The feeling is very warm.

My kid already had the interview. When he sat down, he looked back at us and smiled, then he felt comfortable and never looked back again during the interview. Moms, what do you think the kid would feel if you walked away? He may feel even more scared!

But it's just my feelings on this point and want to share with you great BK moms.

I also think that the principal wants to see us.

To my son, it didn't matter we sat outside or not as he didn't notice us at all during the interview.  We sent him in the room before we sat down and once he went in the room, he didn't look back.

It was a good interview experience for my son, at least for two reasons:
1. as soon as the interview finished, he turned around and was greeted by his dear simling dad & mon
2. not even a question had been asked about the interview from dad & mon

Did you go with your husband together for interview?>
For me, they dont accept our profile.  So I just give five copy of School report, piano cert, swimming cert, cambridge eng cert and school rewards..
Other ice skating and painting....trinity exam did not submit.

Dear all,

I just remember one of the interview question from st. paul's boys, the headmaster asked him to compare him and his father's differences and need to list 5 diffferent items.Then he answered that his father is taller, with glasses,better in sports, his shoes are smaller than his father and then he also said the other people said he is a little fatter than his father, this made the headmaster laugh with him.

Before the interview, I also practise the questions with him at home and pretened that I am the teacher. He needed to know how to knock at the door and pull out the chair nicely.

We got an interview today. The principal asked so many questions on the pictures and asked what's words can he write and how many homework to do everyday.

One of the question is What season do you think?
My son said Winter
Ask him how do you know it is winter in the picture?
Because cat wears a clothes...hahahh
So many animals in the picture and the principal asked so details.
My son looked at her and she wrote down his performance. He knew she was making an comand on him and felt nervous. He answer the question very carefully.

Wor, the principal wears tranditional lady dress , she seems 60th - 70th style. So fit!!!

My son complaint above there are not many toys in the waiting rooms. He seems not happy coz too the interview finished so fast. He expected to spend 30 mins , dreamed some blocks, many toys and activities there.

So, waiting for the answer, right now!
