In fact, most DSS did not have long history. Most of them are under experimental stage, running only for a few years. They usually have fantastic presentation during the information section to attract the attention of parents. Activity learning, no pressure, happy school life and whole-person development are their slogans. However, even very experienced and great-talented educators find it difficult to put these elements into one school under the roof of societal situation in Hong Kong. Be careful when considering DSS. Some DSS may be better, not all. Some DSS intook students at P2 too.
LS had a long history. You could know it better from different sources to see whether it fit your style or not. If you like it and want to join the lucky draw, apply some private schools as cushions.
The birth rate in the Year of Snake dropped. You could confirm that from the Stat. Dept of the government. Though there are still a lot of applicants for LS, you have a better chance in certain private schools too. Some private schools are easier to get a seat. Look back the discussions in BK and you will have an idea. If you don't apply LS, you give up this option automatically!
