Hi Shinkansen,

Textbooks for the English subject are different from that of the mainstream classes. Principal told me before there will be project based assessments.

多謝!
一般國際部幼稚園沒有k3,到5yr去英基等..學校,因祟真國際部好多家長貪佢有中文,到中學可去番主流英中,or祟真既直資中學都無問題,對嗎?
但如沒k3,讀番主流英中,便細了很多,11yr讀中一.我很鍾意祟真,好自由,學生很活潑.不過間學校好free,d書周圍擺,有d亂feel,其他很好!我會很注意這topics,請多講這所學校.

According to the principal of TTK, the reason why they put the story books in the corridor is because they want the kids can read any where any time, not only from the library.  To me, it is fine.

What I worry is the major difference between main stream class & int'l section in TT primary?  As far as I know that TT primary will fully use Mandarin & Eng as major languages in future.  By doing so, it seems no difference but the tution fee among these two categories are very big.  Thanks.

其實國際部幼稚園只是在環境上能製造更多雙語言溝通的機會, 致於能否可去番主流英中,or祟真既直資中學絕對無問題, 並且現在IK3 只有21個學生, 真正實行小班教學

If next year TT Int'l Section only have one class for J1, you should apply it early, because this year IK3 has 21 students, JIF for this year have 27 students, that mean if all of IK3 apply for J1F, the outsider only have 6 seats.  Last year IK3 only have 7 students, only 4 of them apply for J1F, 1 is go back to the main stream.

I would apply it for my girl, because she is a lazy girl and hate to do the homework , as I known the int'l section don't have too much homework.

Please don't expect there is no homework for int'l section cos' as far as learning from TT, cos' they're 60% int'l and 40% local, thus, homeworks are still required for the int'l section and that their homework is similar to a kind of project with topic, like writing letters, reading reports ........  Seems still very busy when compared with local school BUT their approach is IS only.
If your kid is active, talkative, energetic and creative, then I would suggest to bring her to int'l section which is more suitable for her.

你地囝囝囡囡係學校同D同學仔講英文定廣東話？
因為有一位祟真主流班既同學話，係TOILET就聽到國際部同學用英語溝通，這點很重要。

So little response here. comparing with the forum of main stream class, the parents here is less active and reluctant to talk.  I really enjoy the discussion in the forum of main stream.  However, I have applied international stream for my daugther, hope next year K1 parents will be more talkative.

Is P1 also have international class. very famous in english. My sister son want to join K1 but her son is younger boy - Oct 2004

I attended the interview of IK1 last Thursday.  During the 5 to 10 minutes interview, my little daughter was very shy and just answered NO to the teacher when she suggested something to play with her.      .  On the other side, the teacher was not active too and talk very little and just sat besides us and didn't do anything to arose the interest of my daughter.  My impression to the school and staff is just half half.  Would anyone give me some advice?
   .  Also, the location of the school is quite remote and you have neither go up by numerous steps or by taxis!
