以我自己所見,SPN 有好多小朋友家境都好好,他們的家庭有充足的資源照顧小朋友,但這些家長都寧可小朋友入讀全日幼兒園,我想他們的主要目的反而是要訓練小朋友的獨立及自理能力!

I submitted the form at around 11:30am and my application number is 161.

My girl is studying in SPN N1 now, for your information, the schedule are as follows:

Interview Time: May 4, 05
Recieved Result: May 21, 05
Parents Meeting: May 28, 05

My girl also accepted by Victoria am class, but last year I remembered that I no need to pay any admission fee to Victoria until I knew the result from SPN.  This year, my sister's girl also applied for these 2 schools, but she need to pay fee to Victoria first, so if SPN accepted her daughter, she will give up the money.

Acutally, SPN is a very good school, the schoolmistress and all teachers are very nice and kind, they love all the  children very much. Although the school fee is a little bit expensive, but if you can afford it, you will feel that your girl/boy can study in a good school and learn a lot of things and become more independent, you will certainly feel  值得.

Hi Isabella,

I don't think SPN only choose the children have very good background.  Most parents are in the middle class (work in office, school, government depts etc), some of the mammys even no work (housewife).  Frankly speaking, if your child study there, you need to pay $5,250 x 12 per year (not include school bus), so you better think is it you can afford to pay, if yes, I am very encourage you to let your child to try.

Last year, we brought my girl to SPN before 9:00 am, first all the children played together in the lobby area, later one of the teacher would ask the child with their parents went to one room (divided by 3 or 4 areas, I can't really remember) then  the teacher gave some blocks to my girl to play next to us and asked us some questions (her daily schedule at home), such as:

What time to eat (both lunch and dinner)?
What time to sleep in the afternoon and at night?  What kind of food  she love to eat?
Does she know how to vv?
Who take care her at home?

After this, she just told us if my girl study there, we must need to train her something now, such as eat more vegetables, sleep early, toilet train etc.  Finally, she asked my girl, what is your name and told her the colours of the blocks.  One thing, may be she felt my girl was very initiative because she brought one toy from the lobby area and after interview she gave back to the teacher and say bye-bye with smile.

Before I read your message, I'm still full of confidence that my little girl can admit into SPN.  But now,   .  My daughter was born in August provided she is an premature baby.  She oly talks baby talk and she can't tell people what's her name!  She doesn't know what is blue and what is red!

Don't be so sad, may be you can try to teach your girl during these 2 months.  Actually, SPN will prefer to choose big girls (born in Dec to Mar), but one of my girl's classmate is born in May (her sister is also study in SPN N4), that means when she went to school last year, she was only 2 years and 3 months old.  Moreover, SPN will also let some little girls study in 2nd term (Jan 07), so if your girl have a chance to interview, please try it.
