講到根德園係洪水猛獸？

很好奇地想問問 ArgusMum，當年基於什麼原因，放棄宣道呢？除了個人喜歡KV之外，但宣道有小學可以連接，不是一個好一點的選擇嗎？

Your case is so strenght.  你申請那間學校呀!我仲估除咗九龍塘D學校咁揀擇外其他間間都會收所有申請的小朋友.  我比你好彩, 囝囝考咗5間, 3間已收咗, (有約克, 德貞, 劍鳴), 而家淨係等SC同Kent result.  不用怕, 報多幾間,一定有好學校收你小朋友的.  你有冇攞宣道報名表呀, 29, 30號有得報, 浸會大學幼稚園月尾deadline,仲趕到!

我放棄宣道,其實都掙扎左好耐架,亦聽取左好多意見.
首先你要知道,宣幼同宣小係無關係架,當你去interview果日,老師一開始就會同你聲名,佢地同宣小係全無關係,張來同樣要考入去宣道小學架.
無錯,宣小係一間唔錯既小學,我亦有朋友既囡囡在入面讀緊,但佢地課程都幾深,所以我個人覺得應該同小朋友在幼稚園打好基礎,等佢上小學無追得咁辛苦.
第二,根德名氣較大,張來考小學著數d,(除左宣小,仲有好多私小我都想考)
而且,我覺得宣幼地方好細,要上一條留梯才可入課室,好似好唔方便.好似佢地無噪場架.
但我想講多一句,唔代表宣幼唔好,我當初都係首選佢架,只係個人理由唔讀咋,有咩得罪,請諒..

Hi all mom

I am quite scare when I see this topic.  Since my son has been here (Kentville) for 3 years (K1-K3).  We are now looking for primary school for him.  You never know who they will accept.  Like my boy, he was not willing to talk to the teacher when interview, just willing to sing.  "眼縁" quite important when K1 interview.  For my experience, if you want to apply private/DSS primary school for your kids in future.  Studying in Kentville would be an advantage, since Primary school knows that the kids trained well already in Kindergarten and chance would be than higher.  But you have to ready, the kids won't be treated like prince / princess in Kentville, the teachers will let them do most of the things themselves since K1.  Being a Kentville kinders' parents can also be lazy, no need to study with the kids as they have already studied well with the teachers.  No extra-activities, no outings, no......
No need to scare the homework, the kids will accustoms to step by step, you will not see them unhappy since they got not comparision.

另今年宣道的interview咪遲咗? 因我收到表格及註明交表日期為28/11即收到kentville的result之後!  希望不需去宣道交表呢

舊年係某處睇到宣幼約有80%升上宣小,唔係百分百架,大家請留意.

我有個朋友,識得宣幼個校長,佢個仔在澳洲返黎,搵佢介紹入宣小都唔得呀...好似話宣小收得都幾嚴.
我又聽過有人話宣小鍾意收SC.同KENT既學生,不過唔知係咪真架..大家都知幾多傳言架啦..

當年我對囡in宣幼時, 老師同我們講到明, 無得直升宣小, 亦無特別優勢, 同其他幼稚園一樣, 需要考試.

Hi, I just back from a short noon sleep.  Six (Pui Ching, DBS, TSL, Alliance Primary, St Joseph, SFA).  if I know any one of them will certainly accept him, I won't apply that many.  It's quite tired for both parents and kids.  
Since no guarantee, you have to do so.  You will be quite scare everytime you see so many kids in interview (just like you now, looking for seats of K1).  How can my kid be accepted???  So, just relax, like playing game, sometimes wins, sometimes loses!

我有個朋友以前教宣小,佢都話宣小鍾意收SC & Kenville學生多d,宣幼生都係收番~30%,但都要睇學生表現,唔會為o左fulfill呢30%而勉強收,換句話說分分鐘會收少於30%呀!

係呀,上年根德園call o左好多waiting list番去註冊,我有個朋友上年連waiting都冇,但佢照樣寫封求位信去,結果都收佢讀下午班,所以1st round唔收唔緊要,記得寫信呀!機會大好多呀!

之前睇過篇文章,話係全港最抵讀的直資英文小學,講到間學校好好,但一個月學費千幾蚊jar,有頗多印巴籍學生讀,睇到呢度我就唔係好明,印巴籍家庭唔係通常家境清貧d架,佢地可以afford此類直資學校?(我冇種族歧視架,純粹好奇心想知)
不過TSL超級難入,又係揀尖子來收.
