下星期再去做聽力檢查時你可以問清楚他們會不會做其他測試。有些測試是要bb睡著之後用電腦做的，叫ABR(Auditory Brainstem Response)，那便不需依靠bb的反應了。詳情請屆時向聽力學家查詢。

另外，想問吓bb的頭仔控制很好嗎？如果他還未懂擰頭仔，是不會轉頭望向聲音來源的﹗小朋友沒有轉頭望，你們也可以試試製造一些很響的聲音，例如"bang"門，看看小朋友有沒有"嚇一跳"的反應。

謝謝你,我是Emerald Lam 的哥哥,也是那個BB的爸爸,想請教這例子常見嗎?今天同佢玩搖鈴, 在左耳冇搖反應,右耳有一两下好輕微反應(但我也不知是否真).......現在心情忐忑不安。

不用客氣，希望能解答到你的疑難。

要測聽覺，只靠搖鈴很難作準。一來，如前文所說，bb的頭仔若轉得不好，不一定會轉頭往聲音方向。有時，若我們經常測試，bb聽慣了某種聲音，對這種聲音不感興趣，就算聽到也不一定回應，你們可以"失驚無神"弄一些不同的聲音，當bb擰過去看時稱讚他，讓他知道你們的要求。又有一些bb比較cool，不大理會周圍的聲音，但並不代表他聽不到。另外，搖鈴的聲屬高頻率的聲音，可以試試用鼓(低頻聲)。

其實，初步測試不合格是很常見的，有很多bb經過聽力學家評估後也無大礙，不用太擔心。耐心些等再見聽力學家吧﹗

現階段實在難以確定bb是否有聽覺障礙(即是說，bb有機會完全沒有問題)，我不知道你是否想知道多一點有關聽障的資料。因為有些人愈知得多會愈擔心，有些人知多一點會安心些。如果你想知多一點，可以告訴我。

做ABR測試，3個月大已經可以。因為要睡著做，我個人認為在兒童體能及智力測驗中心做較好。那兒的聽力學家是最專門為嬰幼兒測聽力的。而且只是等十日，很快便可以了。我可以幫你問問相熟的私人執業聽力學家，過兩日覆你。

謝謝，先說句sorry，因先前給你的資料不足，子喬己做了ABR,現在是等本月30日去耳鼻喉專科。

我想請教:-

1)ABR不合格,是否己斷定是失聰或弱聽嗎？
2)如是,成因為何?(家族從沒有關病例)有方法補救或治療嗎？

想借小小位置嗚謝下葵涌的言語治療師張姑娘，早前張姑娘約仔仔返下葵涌check小朋友的進度，除了一面test仔仔的進度，一面跟我解說可以怎樣幫仔仔，昨日收到張姑娘的信，特意將言語治療的建議寫下來寄給我。之前已經覺得張姑娘好有經驗、好專業、好知道怎樣handle小朋友。但收到她的信更加感受到她對小朋友的愛心，真係好感動。

My friend also come across a very good CP in Kwai Chung. You mums are lucky to be assessed there. Kln Central is a different story.

我差d唔記得重要讚o下下葵涌嘅職業治療師(抱歉唔記得位姑娘個姓)，當時佢同仔仔做完OT評估，o係排到早期訓練之前可以安排暫時去醫院做OT，因為仔仔當時亦有在馬嘉烈做物理治療，我貪方面想揀埋去馬嘉烈，但姑娘好細心提醒我馬嘉烈一般都好多症要跟，因為醫院兒科OT要跟埋住院病人住院期間同之後的跟進，所以有機會見小朋友有進步礙於資源會減OT堂數．考慮過之後決定轉介小朋友去九龍醫院做OT．     

但我都試過唔好嘅經驗．下葵涌嘅物理治療同仔仔做完評估，結果話我知當時仔仔o係一百個小朋友入面排尾二，但佢問咁你需唔需要轉介去做PT，抑或揀一年之後返下葵涌再見佢．嚇得我，唔通要排包尾至必須去做PT ?？    我梗係揀轉介，但的確馬嘉烈因為太多症，仔仔o係排到早期前馬嘉烈PT堂已經好疏．

Anyway大家分享多d希望幫到多d小朋友，希望幫到小朋友多d！重有真的要鳴謝o係BT一直support我地嘅專業人士！

once I been to Kln Central and saw a father scolding very loudly to the clerk outside complaining the therapist he just seen.

I myself nearly wrote a complaint letter, though later on I resort to just telling verbally to the soical worker via phone because I can resolve the problem somewhere else.

I just talk to a mum, whose child stayed in her stomach too long, because the public hospital doesn't allow her to have 'cesearian'. Her kid is now in special school. Her CP taught her to launch a legal case, and find the patients' association to help. Compensation is out of question. But at least she air out her grevience and no need to go to CP any more.

BK is such a place for us.

I am not happy with the service that Centre (central Kln) provided to my son.  我仔被該centre 的兒科醫生評為發展and言語遲緩，有自閉傾向，以當天的評估我仔屬智力/能力偏低。她suggest我仔排I 位and早期訓練，但並不安排其他 ST, OT，心理學家再評估跟進，日後的 follow-up service 也只是安排姑娘電話跟進，並不安排日後再有評估。我想盡快幫我仔做training，咁唯有找私人治療，但筆支出會好”金”。咁我ask醫務社工我仔可唔可以申請津貼，the answer was NO because 醫生話要評為弱智才可申請! 我仔屬智力/能力偏低, 但又未致於弱智喎。但我見其他 bk mom 的小朋友case 和我仔相似，也可申請。另我又見其他 bk mom 的小朋友可排s位，我也ask社工我仔可唔可以apply立即有位的s 位(我知新界有位), so that he can receive intensive training right away instead of wasting his time waiting for the other service，the answer was of course NO again! 而家我成日要自費帶呀仔去做呢樣做個樣訓練，真係入不敷支，但又唔想延誤佢呢2，3年的進度黃金期，點辛苦都要頂住!又時不時要請假/早退，又擔心到死，真係身心疲累呀!

以上我經歷的只有加重我的負擔(心理上，精神上，身體上，金錢上)!The gov't 完全不能幫助我應付我仔的case，我也是年年有比稅的呀! 有時真係覺得好無助!

The first padeiatrian  I met yrs ago in Kln Central is good, but the second one, a man, is very bad. He said I had to accept the fact that in society there is always someone who is more foolish.

My impression about this centre is that therapist seems to be very rigid in making referral. Though at last I get a referral to do OT in Kln Hospital, then I discovered that most of the boys in my son's OT group are better than him.

The optician there make a wrong assessment to my son's eye. When she is on maternity leave, the temp. replacement from Shatin is so good.

Dear ALAL & Claudee ma,
I also had bad experience at Duchess of Kent.  The doctors there were very reserved to offer any therapies and the disability allowance to my child .   As my child is a bit marginal, they just leave him alone.  They just claimed that my child would benefit from the I place teacher and S.T. of the child care centre.  If I do not seek for private training, my child won't get anything indeed.  I feel that we must rely upon ourselves....
