As a dedicated full time mom as you are, I support your decision - to send your son to KM, which would suit you better, since SC doesn't fulfill your requirements.

SC IS A VERY GOOD SCHOOL INDEED.  THE TEACHERS ARE VERY NICE AND CARING TO EACH OF THE STUDENTS.

WE ARE NOT VERY RICH AND DIDN'T STUDY IN FAMOUS PRIMARY SCHOOLS.

nice to meet you. I haven't applied KV. It all depends what do U want. I have a friend whose son is studying in KV, he likes it very much. He can be trained as a self-learner and with good discipline. But the level is quite difficult for a 3 years old child. In addition, there is few activities (e.g. picnic) in KV.
I choose SC since it is a good school for learning English. Also, it start to teach in Putonghua in 2007. I think if I can save additional cost in learning external language classes, then it's worth for that. However I can't enjoy the free charge from Government as I am a tax payer for more than 10 years. :evil:

agree!  My kid answer all the questions and also perform well in Putonghua interview but just on waiting list.

My friend's kid didn't speak anything but got accepted.

The only difference is I chose Chinese for interview but my friend chose English.

It seems interview in English has a more high chance in acceptance - please be prepared for parents applying in future.  

Be confident in your child, they will have a suitable school for them.
